What about a little love for the people behind the scenes of ownership? The ones who show up every single day, on the good days and the bad. The ones who don’t criticize the way you swim when you’re drowning, but instead jump in and show up for you.

If you know Aztca, then you know my sister, Val. ❤️

I know I might make it look like I do most of the work, but the truth is, Aztca wouldn’t be what it is today without the people who show their love quietly, not always through words, but through their actions. The ones who choose to be here, day after day, giving their time, their energy, and their hearts so we can create something special and make memories together.

Today, I just want to give a little love to those who don’t always get the recognition they deserve. Because behind every dream, there are people who help carry it when it gets heavy. And I’ll never take that kind of love for granted. Love you sis ❤️

🚨 We are back in business! 🚨

We want to thank you for your patience, your support, and for allowing us to share a few words from the heart.

Sometimes, the hardest part of owning a restaurant isn’t the long hours, the sacrifices, or the uncertainty. It’s watching something you once dreamed into existence slowly change around you.

You find yourself fighting to hold on to the reason you started: the joy of opening the doors, welcoming people in, serving them with love, and making them feel like they belong.

Because before it became a business, it was a dream a place where people could gather, feel cared for, and experience a little warmth in their day.

But in a world constantly searching for perfection, that joy can easily get lost. You start feeling like you’re competing with everyone else who’s the best, who does more, who can do it better. Somewhere along the way, the simple joy of sharing, connecting, and making people happy can get forgotten.

We know things are changing in this industry, and we know we have to change with them. But no matter how much things change, I hope I never lose sight of the feeling that made me want to do this in the first place.

The joy of sharing. The joy of serving. The joy of making people feel welcome.

That is the dream I want to hold on to.

With gratitude,
Nico

If I only knew 20 years ago what this journey would really look like…
I probably would have been scared.
This weekend was one of those days.
We had two weddings to serve. One with 365 guests and another with 100+ guests while keeping the restaurant open and taking care of everyone who walked through our doors.
At one point, I honestly wondered, “Can we really pull this off?”
But then I looked around and saw our team.
They showed up. They worked hard. They sacrificed, adjusted, helped each other, and did whatever needed to be done.
And we did it.
Not perfectly. Not without exhaustion or stress. But together, we got it done.
That's the part of the restaurant industry people don't always see.
Behind every wedding, every meal, and every celebration are real people who get tired, miss family time, work weekends, and sometimes wonder if they have anything left to give.
But they show up anyway.
To our team: thank you. I see you, I appreciate you, and I'm incredibly proud of you.
And to everyone who continues to support Aztca, thank you for trusting us with your celebrations and allowing us to be part of your memories.
Twenty years ago, I couldn't have imagined all of this.
Today, I'm exhausted, grateful, humbled… and proud.
Sometimes you just have to show up, trust your people, give it everything you've got, and then take a moment to realize:
We did it. ❤️

What it takes.
It means showing up when you’re tired.
Putting the needs of others before your own.
Saying no to birthdays, anniversaries, vacations, and countless special moments so others can celebrate theirs.
That’s the sacrifice.
But what a privilege it is to be tired from doing something you once only dreamed about.
What a privilege it is to be part of someone else’s memories, traditions, and celebrations.
What a privilege it is to have the health and strength to keep showing up.
And above all, what a privilege it is that God has surrounded us with an incredible family, an amazing team, and a community that always has our backs.
Sometimes it takes sacrifice and humility to recognize just how blessed we are, especially on the days when it’s hardest to see.
To our team, our customers, and our family thank you for believing in us, supporting us, and standing beside us through it all.
And to Luka... thank you for spending part of your birthday helping at Aztca. There are many ways to celebrate, but choosing to serve others speaks volumes about the young man you’re becoming. Happy Birthday, son. We love you. ❤️

Happy Father’s Day to all the amazing dads, grandfathers, stepdads, and father figures who lead with love, hard work, and sacrifice.
As a family-owned restaurant, we know that some of life’s best memories are made around the table. Today we celebrate the fathers who teach us, support us, make us laugh, and show up for their families every single day.
Thank you for spending your special moments with us and for supporting local family businesses. From our family to yours, Happy Father’s Day! ❤️
