Sometimes when you love something you have to let it go.

I haven’t been able to find the words to describe how I feel about the end of this chapter. Being able to live our dream for 2 years was an experience we will cherish for a lifetime. Serving this community has brought us so much joy, and the connections we’ve built locally are unforgettable! We are forever thankful for each and every one of you. 😊

Now, we choose family, and our health. 🥀🖤

🖤 Our Last Hurrahs 🖤

I’ve been trying to figure out how to put this into words, and truthfully, I’m still not sure I can.

Yallternative Eats has been so much more than just a food truck to us. It’s been long days, sleepless nights, missed family time, lessons learned the hard way, and memories I wouldn’t trade for anything.

We’ve had some incredible highs and some really difficult lows. There were days we questioned everything, days we wanted to throw in the towel, and days that reminded us exactly why we started.

Running a small business is hard. Sometimes loving something with everything you have still doesn’t make it easy to keep going. And that’s a hard reality to accept.

As we prepare for our last few hurrahs, I find myself feeling a little bit of everything. Sadness, relief, gratitude, and pride. Because regardless of how things turned out, we built something from nothing. We took a chance on ourselves, and for that, I’ll always be proud.

To everyone who ever ordered a burger, shared a post, recommended us to a friend, showed up at an event, or simply believed in what we were trying to create — thank you. You may never know how much those little things meant to us.

We still have a few opportunities left to serve you, and I hope we’ll get to see some familiar faces before this chapter comes to an end.

This isn’t the ending I imagined when we started, but that doesn’t mean the journey wasn’t worth it.

🖤 An Announcement We Never Wanted to Make… 🖤

It breaks our hearts to announce that these will be the final two weekends of Yallternative Eats. Our last day of operation will be Saturday, October 17th.

After everything we’ve poured into this business, this is an incredibly difficult decision to make.

Unfortunately, life has thrown our family another unexpected curveball. On top of being in a wheelchair, the transmission in our family vehicle has blown, leaving us without the reliable transportation we need for our three children. With everything we’ve faced this year, we’ve reached a point where we have to make an incredibly painful choice: sell the business we’ve worked so hard to build so we can purchase a dependable vehicle for our family.

We never imagined it would come down to this.

Yallternative Eats has been so much more than a food trailer to us. It’s been years of hard work, late nights, sacrifices, creativity, and a whole lot of love. We’ve built something we’re genuinely proud of, and saying goodbye to it is absolutely heartbreaking.

🖤 YALLTERNATIVE EATS WILL OFFICIALLY BE FOR SALE! 🖤

We’re open to two possibilities:

🤘 Purchase the entire Yallternative Eats brand and business! For someone who loves what we’ve created and wants to continue our legacy, we’re willing to offer our established brand, recipes, and one full year of training and guidance to help you carry it forward.

🚚 Purchase the food trailer separately! If you’ve dreamed of starting your own food business, this could be your opportunity to build something of your own.

We would absolutely love to see Yallternative Eats continue under someone who shares our passion, but we also understand that someone may want to take the trailer in an entirely new direction.

To everyone who has supported us, eaten our food, shared our posts, attended our events, or believed in our crazy little dream: thank you. You’ve helped us create something special, and we’ll never forget that.

We’re extremely sad that this is how our chapter ends, but right now, our family has to come first.

Please come see us one last time before October 17th. Let’s make these final two weekends ones to remember. 🖤
