“It is not the critic who counts… the credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena.” if you’ve never read the entire man in the arena, Speech by Theodore Roosevelt, you need to go do that right now. Go Google it will wait.

It’s easy to be the one criticizing, but the real credit goes to the one the one who chooses to show up.

The one risking failure.
The one trying again after disappointment.
The one building something meaningful while everyone else watches from the sidelines.

YOU ARE SO BRAVE! You are! You might not feel brave, you may not know how to access what brave inside of you… But it’s there.

The thing with being brave is when we step out, when we say yes, when we risk, there’s always a really big chance that we will also be bruised in the process.

Things may not go according to plan people you care about who you thought supported, you may talk about you behind your back. You might totally bite the dust, you might step outside of your comfort zone, and absolutely embarrass yourself. Those are the bruises I’m talking about. They come with the territory of choosing to be brave.

When you know this, and when you know that it is a normal part of the process, you are so much more likely to choose to be brave again. so, I would like to normalize the stuff that comes with saying yes, and stepping out, because as hard as it is… There is nothing more than living the life that you were created for!

We are cheering for you, we love you, and we believe you are brave !

Sundays are for coffee with friends 💚

Grab an extra drink for somebody at church today. Your friend. Your pastor. The exhausted parent carrying three kids and a diaper bag 😂 Somebody serving behind the scenes. Somebody who could just use a little kindness in a cup.

Also ….if you bring one to somebody working in kids ministry you definitely get extra points. 😂💚 Because we all know they’re back there surviving on prayer, animal crackers, and pure determination.

Sometimes it’s not just fear holding us back. Sometimes it’s that we don’t know how to do something. Sometimes we don’t know how to find the resources to pay for it. And sometimes it feels so overwhelming, we tell ourselves it’s impossible and go on with our lives.
