Isn't this good weather getting kind of old? I mean, really, it's just bland.

Okay, okay. We know that this weather is great for being outside all day, but contrast is what makes life interesting, right? If you come into the pub today and have a pork steak sandwich with homemade potato salad, you will enjoy that bike ride SO.MUCH.MORE! ;)

The O'Connell's Pub Gazette makes a return!

This is an update on what is going on with O'Connell's Pub today.

We had a mediocre week because the weather was so nice and the fervor of us potentially closing has calmed. We certainly can't blame you for enjoying this past weekend outside. It was a near perfect day with everyone outside enjoying the weather in Tower Grove Park and other similar outings. Everyone was smiling and for some reason the whole park smelled like a skunk. Go figure! 😉

Despite having a very slow Sunday, we sold all but two of our daily specials. People love that steak special! We look forward to seeing everyone this week as it gets cold at night and a cozy pub is perfect for dinner!

The pub is still listed with Manor Real Estate and you can click on the link to see the listing.

And, of course, there is always the possibility that we close after March 17. A lot of legacy restaurants are closing, and often the real estate is worth more than the business. That is certainly a possibility here, still. The plan is the same should it come to that. We would close the doors for business after St. Patrick's Day and sell all of the items in the building and then sell it as a K-zoned parcel which would allow it to be any number of business types. It likely would sell quickly as it is a premier location for anyone wanting to start a restaurant or any number of business types that would potentially work in this location. We certainly don't want it to come to that, but it still might.

For now, spread the word and consider putting your money where your mouth is. Just by spending money at the pub, you allow us to keep going in order to try and sell it to someone who could keep it going. Or, if you have more than a few coins to rub together, give your name to Manor Real Estate as an "interested investor".

We are here until the end, as the Irish don't quit fighting until our heart stops beating!

It's cold outside, but it's warm in O'Connell's. They can go dancin', we'll eat pork steaks insteaaaaaad! Boom, Boom!

Our fish special comes in a junior size, as does our hamburger. With the fish, we go from 3 pieces to 2 pieces, and with the burger we go from 9oz to 6oz. Both are a great option for anyone who wants the food but needs to eat a bit less.
