The Northern Catskills are the perfect setting for the Stamford Golf Club. Here you will find 18 holes in one of the most peaceful locations in New York State. The Stamford Golf Club was organized and founded in July 1897, the links being laid out in the Granthurst Park surrounding the Rexmere Hotel.
Tavern 1897 is a gastropub open to the public 7 days a week during the season. Come sit at the bar, grab a table inside, or enjoy the scenic views on our outdoor patio!
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Tavern 1897 is seeking kitchen staff of all experience levels and positions. Roles and responsibilities are dependent on job title. We are looking for invaluable team members to assist our Executive Chef as well as keeping our kitchen tidy and clean. If you think you’ll enjoy the buzz of a busy kitchen, we’d like to meet you!
• Support the Executive Chef in kitchen responsibilities and routine food prep tasks
• Sanitize food preparation areas and keep the kitchen organized
• Aid in the cleanliness of our kitchen to adhere to health standards
• Wash cookware, utensils and cutlery effectively and quickly
• Available to work on weekends or holidays
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• Team players who have practice in a fast-paced working environment
• Food industry experience is a bonus, but also seeking fast learners with an interest in kitchen work
• The ability to stand for long hours
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety rules
• Organizational skills
• Able to work unsupervised in a busy environment
• A high school degree or equivalent is a plus but not required
