Hi everyone! Sure do miss seeing my Neighbor friends and running the restaurant.
I have recently been eating out at non chain breakfast restaurants.
I love scrapple but find that it’s being served deep fried!
What do you think, deep fried or cooked on the grille like we used to do at the Neighbor?
Which do you like?

Hi all! I really didn't think my post would have caused such a commotion.
We loved the Hi Neighbor and it would have been great to reopen in Strasburg.
I still follow happenings around there. I see that Queen St diner is doing well and the Pancake Underground is very busy. Two great places to get a great breakfast. It sadly wouldn't make sense to reopen in Strasburg as the population wouldn't sustain another restaurant of that type.
What I was hinting at is I will be doing a Hi Neighbor style brunch here in Harper's ferry at my current location. I know many folks appreciate the style of cooking we did and was hoping some would check us out not only for that but to see what else we serve on the White Horse tavern menu. The town of Harper's ferry is a lovely place to visit. The post for that will be coming out in a few days.
I apologize for being a bit cryptic in my original post and was truly humbled by the outpouring of sentiment of all of you who loved the place.
On the other side of all this if there is anyone interested in investing in opening a new Hi Neighbor in the region I would certainly be interested. I have picked up a wealth of knowledge in my culinary work and management over the last 7 years.
