Dear Cornerstone Community,
With thankfulness and appreciation for her 25 years of service to Cornerstone, I'm writing to share that our Head of School, Lee Anne Robertson, will retire at the end of this school year.
Well before the recent events of COVID-19, Lee Anne had been planning on this being her final year at Cornerstone - and it's truly thanks to her that the school is in a position to continue thriving in these challenging times. Our Board felt now is the time to let the community know of her decision and celebrate her career.
Lee Anne, you have our warmest congratulations as you embark on the next phase of your life. As you conclude your service to the school that has nurtured and shaped the lives of our children, we express our deepest appreciation for your ceaseless hard work, dedication and caring. Thank you, Lee Anne, for all you do and all you've done.
Reflecting on Lee Anne's decades at Cornerstone culminating with this past year, the world has certainly changed. Looking back, Lee Anne has continuously helped the faculty reinvent the school's educational program, addressing challenges never before seen in the history of our school - or for that matter anywhere. Fortunately, we don't have to imagine Cornerstone without her presence, because she shaped our community in ways that will always be felt and cherished.
While this is a time to celebrate Lee Anne's contributions over the past quarter century, we are also working to secure our future. The Board has begun the process of recruiting a new Head of School who will continue to guide us into Cornerstone's next chapter.
With gratitude,
Brian Riley
President of the Board of Directors of the Cornerstone School
