We will not be BBQing at the Berlin Harvest Festival and Rib Cookoff this year. We are taking a year off from the Cookoff but we will be back next year. We look forward to serving you again in 2018!

Saturday Sept 7th, Department of BBQ is teaming up with Smokin Bones BBQ for this years 9th annual Harvest Festival and Rib Burnoff in Berlin Ohio. Join us for a day of amazing BBQ from 13 different Rib vendors along with entertainment on the stage in the square and a parade in the afternoon.
Department of BBQ will be serving Ribs, Pulled Pork, Chicken, Beans, and Smoke roasted corn on the cob. We will start serving at 10:00 a.m. and will serve until we sell out.
This year each rib vendor will be judged by a panel of 4 judges for the "Judges 1st Place Award" and also by each customer for a "Peoples Choice Award"! People will vote for their favorite ribs by placing quarters into a special jar provided to each vendor. All quarters will be donated to "Every Womans House of Holmes County" There is no limit on how many quarters that you may donate at the vendor of your choice! Your votes decide the "Peoples Choice Award"! We hope to see everyone there. Bring your friends, family and a BIG appetite and look for us under the big red sign!

Update! The location for June 30th has been changed from Berlin,Ohio to Downtown Millersburg,Ohio. Join us at "Thunder Over Holmes County" for the festival, good food, and fireworks in the evening!
