The Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce is committed to ensuring our business community has a seat at the table.

Last week, the WCIP Advisory Board met at Kat A Korner Diner to hear updates from each county across the region. Sullivan Mayor JD Wilson shared an in-depth update on the exciting progress and opportunities happening throughout Sullivan County.

Why does this matter to our Chamber members? Because being present means staying informed, building regional partnerships, advocating for our local businesses, and identifying opportunities that can strengthen our economy. Every conversation, every connection, and every collaboration helps position Sullivan County for continued growth.

Your Chamber is working to ensure our community’s voice is heard—because when Sullivan County succeeds, our businesses succeed.

Deadline is July 17

The Wabash River Development Authority Board of Directors approved moving forward with the nomination of eligible federally designated census tracts for Opportunity Zone designation. Opportunity Zones are designed to encourage private investment in economically distressed communities by offering federal tax incentives that support business growth, job creation, housing development and neighborhood revitalization. The Indiana Economic Development Corporation has asked Regional Development Authorities across the state to identify and submit qualified census tracts for consideration. Indiana's deadline for Opportunity Zone nominations is July 17.
