It was an honor to host Larry Klein, Sunnyvale Mayor for the (early) start of 🇲🇽Cinco de Mayo celebrations🇲🇽! We are so proud to be a part of this community. Thank you for the support, Mr. Mayor! 🍹🌮🎉

Yesterday, I celebrated a day early at a local mainstay—El Caminito.

I had the chance to catch up with the owner, Julian, and enjoy a great chicken burrito and a mug of horchata. 🌯🍺 Julian offers authentic Mazatlán flavors and recipes that many Sunnyvale residents grew up on.

While Sunnyvale has a lot of great Mexican food, this restaurant has been tucked away on El Camino and serving food for 34 years!

If you want to celebrate with amazing food and even better people, come say hi to Julian and the crew.

Mole poblano is a rich, complex Mexican sauce originating from either Puebla or Oaxaca, depending on who you ask.
It's characterized by a thick, dark brown texture made from a blend of dried chiles, nuts, spices, fruits, and chocolate.

The dish has become a culinary symbol of Mexico's mestizaje, or mixed indigenous and European heritage, both for the types of ingredients it contains and because of the legends surrounding its origin.

Our version is served over boneless chicken breast with sesame seeds sprinkled on top, with sides of rice, refried beans, and your choice of tortillas.

💕Día de San Valentin💕 is on its way!

We have new 🍸Drink Special🍸Menus created just for the special day:

JAMAICA ROJA🍷
Agua de Jamaica meets Blue Agave (tequila), served in a wine glass, and garnished with a partial Tajín rim.

CALIENTE-RITA🍓
Tequila, with strawberry syrup, fresh-squeezed lime juice, triple sec, sliced jalapeños for added heat, and served blended with a Tajín rim for extra spice!

PIÑA ROSA-RITA🌹
A margarita featuring pineapple juice, with a splash of cranberry juice, a shot of tequila, triple sec, blended and garnished with sugar rim.

AGUA DE JAMAICA*🌺
Our fresh-water-of-the-day (NON-ALCOHOLIC) will be a Hibiscus-flower-based agua de fresca, the crimson colored drink seemed appropriate for los enamorados!
We'll be posting more in anticipation of Valentine's Day...
*Agua de Horchata will also be available.
