Hey yall it’s Ellie here- you know we have always been transparent with you guys and we want to keep being that way even in the hardest times. We had to cancel a lot fair amount of events and will have to do so for the foreseeable future. I’m sharing the post I had made on my personal page because we love yall 🍩🩷
Words I never thought I would hear in my life, let alone at 35 years old… “It’s breast cancer”
In an instant my entire life changed. But you know what it didn’t do? It did not END in that moment. After falling apart in my husbands arms, I was overwhelmed with a peace that SURPASSED ALL UNDERSTANDING. I knew immediately that I had a strength inside of me that was not just my own. I’ve not questioned why me? Why now? How could this happen to me? Not once through this journey have I questioned those things. Instead I have proclaimed time and time again Lord, USE ME. USE ME in the most profound way through this situation to spread the word of Your goodness and healing. USE ME as an example of how You meet us in the middle of our storms and darkness. USE ME to remind others of Your promises that you have good, good plans for us. USE ME in a way so much bigger and better than I could ever imagine. To let this season not be for nothing, but let it be for Your glory, God.
This has been one of the most trying, mental and emotional rollercoasters of my life, but I have done so much work not just on myself, but in every aspect of my life the last year to get me to this place 🤍 I can so clearly see how God’s hand has been at work in every area of my life to prepare me for this battle. I am so insanely blessed to have a husband who has never left my side. To have my mama who took basically the first flight out to be on my other side. To have two beautiful boys who fill my soul with love and happy. To have friends who have prayed over me, brought me cookies and the most thoughtful gifts. To have our church family who has spoken so much life and healing over me! But most importantly I have a Heavenly Father that has my entire life in His hand!
I know that this journey is going to have tough moments, but how could I not praise God through it for the beautiful life, family and community He has given me.
So here is to hope, healing, my testimony and beginning chemo to cure my body 🩷
We also will NOT be using the word Cancer in front of Milo if everyone could just try to respect that for us! He knows mommy is sick but we do not want that word used when he’s around. Thanks yall!
