Saturday climbed into the eighties by noon and Main Street did that slow shuffle it does in June. A little girl out front had her scoop halfway gone before her dad found a seat. He didn't rush her. First real heat of summer's here, and a cone on the sidewalk just feels like the right way to meet it. DM us — we'll tell you about today's flavor lineup.

The Friday crew, roughly in order of arrival: the dad who 'isn't getting one' (he is). The kid who's been planning their order since Tuesday. The couple splitting one scoop and fully pretending they will. Somebody's grandma, leading the whole parade down Main Street like she owns it. We prop the door open and start scooping around 4. Tag your ice cream buddy. You already know which one they are. 🍦

You drove up the parkway today, didn't you. The overlooks were packed by noon, so you found the quiet one past the second tunnel (everybody local knows the one). Come back down into Waynesville before the light goes. A scoop on Main Street while the ridgeline turns that deep bruised purple it does around 8. That's the part the postcards never quite get right. Come find us this weekend.

Cold isn't the goal here. Flavor is. Pull a scoop straight from a home freezer and it's too hard, too cold to taste much — your tongue goes numb before the cream even shows up. Our dipping cabinet runs a few degrees warmer than that on purpose, around 6 to 10 below zero, so the scoop gives a little when Marcus drags the dipper through it on a Tuesday afternoon. That's the window where it actually tastes like real ice cream. Comment your go-to flavor.

June showed up Sunday and the freezer case knew it. First scoop of the morning lifted clean and sat for ninety seconds. Then a slow caramel drip started crawling down the side of the waffle cone. Summer pace from here on. Order delivery on DoorDash if you can't make it in.

Settle a Sunday debate for us. Bite order: top of the scoop first, side of the scoop, or straight through the cone bottom? There's a right answer (we think). Last bite of May, last debate of the month. Tag the friend you'd argue this with over a two-scoop in Waynesville.

That first bite right when you step outside — cold cream against the May air that finally feels warm on your shoulders. The waffle cone's still warm from the press. You haven't even crossed Main and the drip's started down your thumb. Late May does this to you. Saturday afternoon, the sun's stretching out, and there's no real reason to rush. Pace yourself or don't. Come find us this weekend.

You worked five days for this — come grab the scoop that's been showing up between meetings since Wednesday (you know the one). Don't overthink it. DM us about today's flavor lineup if you want a head start.

Who in your house always orders the exact same scoop? Like, every visit. Even after the case is 30 flavors deep and you say 'maybe try something new this time.' (We see you, loyal-flavor families. Nothing wrong with knowing what you love.) Our crew's got theirs too. So this Thursday — when the kid demands their usual and the grown-up pretends to think it over — come find us. Save this for your next family outing.
