Fueled by Ice Cream. We’re proud to be born-and-raised Syracuse locals and proud Rockets—Class of ’82 and ’83 alumni. This little ice cream shop isn’t just a business—it’s a passion project, years in the making. After spending time away raising our family and building our careers, we always knew we wanted to return to our roots. This shop gives us the chance to give back to the town that shaped us

, to create memories with old friends and new faces, and to serve up the kind of simple joys that only ice cream and comfort food can bring. We’re here to carry on a beloved local tradition—built by Hwy 50 Drive In, Jo-Bob’s, Weiler’s, and Dairy Sweet—and keep that hometown magic alive for future generations. With help from our kids, their families, and our incredible extended crew, we’re excited to bring fresh energy, great service, and a whole lot of heart to every cone, shake, and burger we serve. Whether you’re swinging by after a game, treating the grand kids, or just craving something sweet on a summer night—we’ll be here with the lights on and the soft-serve swirling. All of our guests are special, but those who walk 17+ miles in a day before visiting us get a special shout out!

On Tuesday, May 19, this group of seminarians from the Catholic Diocese of Lincoln led by Fr. Jim Morin embarked on a walking pilgrimage starting in Nebraska City and eventually reaching St. Joseph Parish in Benkelman, Nebraska, on June 16. Their first overnight stop was St. Paulinus Catholic Church in Syracuse, entering town on 1st Street from the east. When they saw Mac’s on 50, they stopped for ice cream cones and shared some time with us. May God bless them and keep them safe on their journey of 375 miles in 30 days!
