My storeroom, aka garage, got a clean up on Sunday and I found a box of chimes that got hidden on one of the many shelving units, from when I moved out of the old shop on Marion Road.

All of the chimes have some recycled glass. Some have a metal figure (hummingbird, dragonfly, bee, buffalo, South Dakota shape) at the top and glass "tinklers" below. Some have wood and glass. This was a great company and when they retired it was kind of sad.

The one in the picture is all glass with a simple piece of wood across the top and the colors are amazing. While they suggested that you hang it in a protected area, I'd suggest hanging it in the house in a window and let the sunlight shine through.

Thanks to all who shopped this past week for our Crazy Days sale! It was so exciting to see many treasures go to new homes so we can make room for new arrivals.

Retail is interesting from a business standpoint and you can’t expect to sell everything at full price. And sometimes you have to take a hit by providing deep discounts to move merchandise that’s been around a bit too long. It’s just part of the learning process that comes with being in the retail business. We are constantly learning what you, our customers, are the most excited about and refining our merchandising strategies to match.
