A flavorful blend of Vietnamese, Indian, and French influences, Cà Ri Gà consists of tender chicken simmered with taro, yams, and coconut milk in a fragrant curry sauce. It is infused with lemongrass and spices and the dish is both savory and sweet. Traditionally served with a baguette, steamed rice, or Vermicelli rice noodles.

For this Saturday Special we will be serving Com Tam (broken rice). This dish started when the rice farmers in the Mekong Delta would take the leftover rice grains not suitable for sale and would use them to feed their families. The dish was brought to the city (Saigon) and became a staple for students and workers. It eventually has become a go to meal whether breakfast, lunch, or the 2 am munchies. For Saturday, we will have Com Tam Suon Bi Cha.

Suon is Pork Chop

Bi is Shredded Pork Skin

Cha is a pork and egg meat loaf.

It will be served on broken rice with some pickled veges and fish sauce.

Grab a plate while supplies last:)!!
