It’s been great seeing some smiling familiar faces during our pop-up at Neighbors on 7th. This Friday and Saturday from 8am-12pm our very own Celeste via Yaya's Celestial Cravings will be serving Breakfast Tacos ($3.50 for 3 toppings +.25¢ each additional topping: Bacon, Eggs, Potatoes, Cheese, Chorizo, Sausage + fresh salsa & pico available upon request)

A company is working to bring the Temple Mall back up to code after it was forced to close due to safety concerns.

Peggy’s Coffee House officially begins its pop-up location at Neighbors on 7th tomorrow, Wednesday 7/1. Initial operating hours will be Tuesday-Sunday 7am-3pm. We’re excited to see some smiling faces and create the Peggy’s Coffee Experience in a new setting while repairs and upgrades continue at the Temple Mall. See you around the neighborhood soon!

This is video of Rob’s speech at the City Council meeting Thursday (6/18) concerning the mall. While we knew the City Council could not override the Fire Marshall’s decisions, we felt it important to communicate the progress and garner as much support as possible. From the start, we all, including the Fire Dept, knew the necessary repairs could not be completed in the 30 days given. Today, the mall was temporarily shut down, as expected, no extensions given. We accept this for what it is, and you will be able to find Peggy’s operating out of Neighbors on 7th very soon in the mornings until the mall reopens.

We have to brag on the Peggy’s team a little bit here… 12 years, 12 perfect scores from the Health Department. All of the team members over the past 12 years take immense pride in their work, and it shows! ❤️☕️

With the uncertainty that faces the Temple Mall and its small businesses due to the possibility of a temporary shutdown if necessary repairs can’t be made before the June 22nd deadline, it’s incredibly refreshing to see another local small business extend incredible effort to assist, since many businesses in the mall are committed to taking care of their employees during an intermittent shutdown. Let’s take a moment to talk about Fries & Surprise food truck. They’ve committed 10% of their sales from now until June 21st towards assisting Peggy's Coffee House, Under My Skin & Candy & More employee daily life expenses durning downtime if it comes to that. This week provides multiple opportunities to catch them at Neighbors on 7th! We’ve included their schedule below.

These words of encouragement is why we keep doing what we do!
Sometimes there’s a real story underneath all of the drama local news media creates. It’s nice to see a true journalist bring a component to light that “big box” news would rather capitalize on for views and engagement which equate to ad sales. There’s a lot of misreporting by way of leaving out information when it comes to the Temple Mall.
