It's Wed and that means STEAK!!! at Dads! We put our backs into it for you yesterday and Chef Damon offers his Shrimp Ceviche Special for Lunch, Bar Menu, or a dinner appetizer this week! We also have our Stuffed Bell Pepper Soup over White Rice and another 70 lbs of that coal fired/Mesquite smoked Brisket goodness! Singer/songwriter Nathan Spenser from Salt Lake City returns to our stage TONIGHT AT 6PM followed by what the ladies refer to as "WILD WEDNESDAY" TONIGHT AT 8PM when Krista and the 307 Dance Hall crew take out the midweek frustrations on the dancefloor with FREE Line Dancing Lessons! Some might call it hump day, but around here, a Wed night can rival any Fri or Sat night of any week! And somethin' else has been catchin' our eye lately too ... husbands and boyfriends sittin' in small groups together enjoyin' fine drinks, good conversation, and giving an occasional round of applause for their ladies out on the floor. This old business card had sat inconspicuously in a frame behind the bar for no tellin' how many years before our family first took ownership of Dads, it's now at the house for safe keeping. A Dance Hall, you ask? Yep, the steakhouse never existed until decades later. The old wooden dancefloor we brought back to life used to run the whole place, there was no wall dividing anything, musicians played on a corner stage back where we now cook our steaks, and it was so wide open that the kids used to roller skate the whole place on a Sunday.

I guess it was a much simpler time back in the 1930's, when all you had to know was the name of the place and what town it was in ... no address, no phone number, you just asked someone to point you out once you got there. And in a way, it's still sorta that way today. But when you turn this business card over, there's only one name on the back that has stood the test of time and will forever be the face of Dads ...

Just announced! We're proud to welcome back Josh Langston performing solo FRI NIGHT ONLY AT 7:30PM! This Texas singer/songwriter will take your money on a golf course, he's freshly married up, and relocated over in Pocatello now. It's always a great show with Josh and it oughta go real nice with some dinner and good company ... See you at Dads!!!

WED - Singer/songwriter Nathan Spenser from Salt Lake City returns to our stage WED NIGHT ONLY AT 6PM followed by FREE LINE DANCING LESSONS AT 8PM with Krista and the 307 Dance Hall crew!

THURS - We're proud to welcome Brennan Greene back to our stage THURS NIGHT ONLY AT 7PM! This singer/songwriter/cowpuncher from the panhandle of Texas is always a great show, and it aint every day you get to hear a didgeridoo in Thayne, WYO! Yep, you read that right!

SAT - Krista and the 307 DANCE HALL CREW take over the dancefloor all night with FREE LINE DANCING LESSONS AT 8PM followed by a "STUDIO 54 DANCE PARTY" with Laser Lights, Fog Machine, Disco Ball, and "Funky Fresh Disco" pumpin'! Lotsa prizes, giveaways from our vendors, drink specials, along with a "Best Dressed" and "Who Works It Best" Contest!

SUN - SUNDAY DUCK RACES AT 6PM! Buy your ducks all week from behind the bar!

We really didn't have that many reservations for last night when I looked at the sheet on Thurs, and to be honest, I was a little worried about whether we'd "pull it off" or not last night ...because them boys from Texas don't come cheap takin' a stage! But when I got a coupla texts from friends wantin' a table before we left the house last night, I knew y'all were comin' strong. Thank you!

But the "bulk" of everyone served last night was from 7pm on ... our GM Aaron was all over the place and his service staff was in high gear makin' it happen for everyone, even takin' some walk ins with it all, along with moving half of the tables/chairs out of the steakhouse because folks were wantin' to see the show, while Nat was strong back behind the bar keepin' a fine drink in everyone's hand. It was really good stuff to watch. But what most didn't realize was that we were a person short back in the kitchen the whole night ... and what Chef Damon, Gio, and Kelly did behind the scenes was the work of some real pros, they were still cookin' steaks until nearly 10pm, and their efforts did not go unnoticed. Every now and then, you get to see your entire staff truly "flex" their muscle at a very fast pace ... you guys really couldn't make the owners more proud with your efforts last night, you do it so much better than we once did!

Everything we do at Dads revolves around ol' school cookin' served on a hot steel plate with a smile, but last night was about the whole shabang. The kitchen, the servers on the floor, back behind the bar, Ronnie & The Redwoods up onstage raisin' the roof, everything firin' on all cylinders ... and YOU showin' up strong!

A night like last night really started over 9 yrs ago with a vision and then we built it ... but it is those who fill these walls who took that vision and made it their own a few years ago, we just watched, listened, and reacted to it. It's your vision, it has been for a while now, and only you can keep it alive. Last night was validation of that truth and we thank YOU for makin' this place we call Dads what it is today ... as well as to all of those who came before us. ❤️

We had a cancelation a coupla weeks ago and elected to keep our stage dark tonight ... because we have Ronnie and The Redwoods from Lubbock, TX takin' the stage SAT NIGHT ONLY AT 8PM with No Ticket, No Cover, No Hassle! Dinner reservations are stacked up for tonight (thank you!), make yours for the weekend at 883-2300/5300 or slip in to enjoy some good libations, fine company, great service, and the best Bar Menu/Soup/Salad Bar in the valley! And remember, Sat night at 8pm ain't gonna quite be your daddy's rodeo ... make your reservations accordingly, they don't come up from Texas without bringin' one helluva SHOW with 'em!
