Dear Northern Disposal Customers,
We want to personally reach out regarding our decision to cancel Monday and Tuesday residential pickup routes this week.
After closely evaluating the road conditions across our service area, we determined that continuing service during this time would create unnecessary safety risks for everyone involved. First and foremost, the conditions make it dangerous for our drivers to safely operate large garbage trucks, Our drivers’ safety is a top priority, and we will never ask them to work in situations that could jeopardize their well-being.
Secondly, many local road crews and emergency services are currently focused on cleanup and recovery efforts. Operating large refuse trucks on the same narrow and obstructed roads can unintentionally slow down or interfere with those efforts, which we want to avoid.
Finally, we also recognize that conditions are just as hazardous for our customers. Asking residents to carry containers to the roadside on icy, debris-covered, or unsafe roadways would put many people at risk of injury.
For these reasons, we made the difficult but responsible decision to pause service on those routes.
Here is how service will proceed:
• Normal Wednesday service will resume tomorrow, Wednesday the 18th.
• All Monday and Tuesday routes that were missed this week will be collected next week. Our team will make sure those customers are fully serviced.
We truly appreciate your patience, flexibility, and understanding as we prioritize safety and support the broader community response during these conditions.
Northern Disposal is proud to be a local, community-focused company, and we are grateful for the trust you place in us every week to serve your homes and businesses.
Thank you again for your understanding.
Sincerely,
Cory Brown & Belle Brown
