Our coffee cart was created in memory of our daughter, Sondi, and her beloved dog, Pyrat, who survived a tragic accident in 2013 that forever changed our family. Pyrat’s steadfast loyalty and Sondi’s radiant spirit inspire us daily, reminding us that joy can be found in life’s small, shared moments. Pyrat’s Perk is about more than coffee—it’s about connection, community, and carrying their spirit forward with good vibes in every sip.

The Tillamook Revitalization Association is sponsoring a very cool event- Charming Mothers. From May 1-10 pick up a bracelet blank and a treasure map at ReCurrent, then visit the participating shops to add a bead or charm onto your bracelet! We made 17 out of the 20 stores! It was so fun visiting the different shops, and of course found a few Mother’s Day gifts along the way! What a fun downtown promotion!

I’ve spent quite a bit of time in Denmark over the years visiting exchange student Laura and her family, and one thing I’ve really come to love there was Elderflower. In Denmark, it’s used in all kinds of refreshing drinks and is an incredibly popular flavor!

So when we started putting together our “April Showers Bring May Flowers” menu, I asked Hayley to find a way to incorporate Elderflower somehow. She came up with the perfect idea — an Elderflower version of our Sondi’s Sunrise! 🌼☀️

Not only does this drink include the health benefits of Yerba Mate (often considered one of the healthiest beverages in the world), but Elderflower is also rich in antioxidants and flavonoids and has long been known for supporting respiratory health, immune support, and even allergy relief.
