Hey guys, Kev here.

I hope you're all having a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend.

I took this opportunity to volunteer at 419 Cares while our establishment is closed for the weekend, allowing our staff to spend time with their families and recuperate after a particularly demanding week.

I'm grateful for our exceptional owners, Elaine and Pauly, our outstanding staff, and our loyal customers, without whom I wouldn't be able to perform my role in serving our community.

Therefore, whenever you see me engaging in my community work, please acknowledge your own contribution to our collective efforts.

This week, I prepared a salad and sliced watermelon for the individuals we served via 419 Cares.

With this heat wave in full effect, I wanted to add some chicken salad specials this week!!!

Buffalo chicken - a special Buffalo-style chicken salad, shaved celery, red onion, lettuce, tomato, served on bread of your choice.

THE club chicken salad- loaded with bacon, fancy Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomatoes.

Both served with chips, upgrades sides available!!! Pictured is the Buffalo chicken salad.

REMINDER: Not all of these symptoms have to be present for either category (and often aren't). Every body is different... listen to what yours is trying to tell you!

Hey guys, Kev here!

No secret—it’s going to be a hot one this week. Please be patient with our staff as we work through the heat. I'll be keeping a close eye on the team, making sure they're staying hydrated, taking breaks when needed, and staying safe. I always try to look after them, but this kind of heat is no joke.

Please take care of yourselves too. Be aware of the signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke, stay hydrated, and check in on your loved ones, neighbours, and anyone who may be more vulnerable during these extreme temperatures.

And if you don't feel like cooking in this heat... we've got you covered! Stop by and let us make you something tasty.
