A few weeks ago we thought making pickles sounded like a fun little project.

Now we’re making our largest batch yet.

Some of you have missed out because we’ve sold out. Some of you have driven out specifically for pickles. Some of you have bought multiple jars. A few of you might need a support group.

We just wanted to say thank you.

The response to Not Doug’s Dills has honestly blown us away.

The good news?

A brand new batch is already in the works and will be ready Saturday at 8:00 AM.

The better news?

We’re going to keep making more. Bigger batches. More often. Until we catch up with demand.

Rose is still cutting cucumbers by hand.
Doug is still stuffing jars.
And apparently you guys are still buying every pickle we can get our hands on.

We appreciate every single one of you.

You folks really know how to celebrate Father’s Day.

What started as Father’s Day weekend turned into one heck of a celebration. Big crowds, long lines, full tables, empty plates, lots of sunshine, and enough smiles to fill the whole valley.

To every dad, grandpa, stepdad, bonus dad, father figure, and family that chose to spend part of your weekend with us… thank you.

We know many of you waited a little longer than usual. We know parking got interesting. We know the line occasionally looked like folks were waiting for concert tickets instead of brisket. And yet you smiled, laughed, visited with strangers, played games, took pictures, and made the whole place feel like a community gathering instead of a restaurant.

That’s what makes Not Doug’s special.

The food matters. The milkshakes matter. The pickles, potato salad, cold brew drinks, and all the other fun stuff matter.

But the people matter most.

These photos are just a small sample of the amazing folks who rolled up to the red door this weekend. We are incredibly grateful for every mile you drove, every friend you brought, every dad you celebrated, and every memory you made here.

From our family to yours, thank you for making this one of the most memorable Father’s Day weekends we’ve ever had.

For Father’s Day we decided to do something a little special.

Tomorrow morning we will be fresh squeezing oranges and serving up our brand new Main Squeeze orange juice.

The kids were recruited for the very important jobs of taste testing, quality control, and making sure the adults knew what they were doing. We are happy to report that the reviews were overwhelmingly positive. 😁

We are only making what we can fresh squeeze in the morning.

When we’re out, we’re out.

No concentrates. No shortcuts. Just fresh squeezed orange juice.

The motorcycles are rolling in.

The side-by-sides are filling the parking lot.

The families are claiming picnic tables.

WELL… THIS ESCALATED QUICKLY.

A few weeks ago we made some pickles.

Now people are driving up here for pickles, leaving with potato salad, grabbing a cold brew drink, and feeding the whole family while they’re at it.

Current Not Doug’s lineup:

Father’s Day is this weekend and let’s be honest…

Dad doesn’t want a tie.

🎉 HAPPY BIRTHDAY DOUG!

The Man. The Myth. The Legend.

If you’ve spent any time at Not Doug’s, you know Doug.He’s the guy who can turn a quick stop into a conversation, somehow knows everybody, and has never met a stranger.

What should have been a thirty second trip outside somehow turns into twenty minutes and three new friends, which is why Rose is constantly asking, “Has anybody seen Doug?”

Our customers love him, our crew loves him, and Not Doug’s wouldn’t be Not Doug’s without him.

Now, we can’t prove it, but if your milkshake suddenly disappears, Doug should probably be considered a person of interest. 👀🥤

Happy Birthday to the guy who keeps us laughing, keeps our customers coming back, and makes this place feel a little more like home. ❤️

Every year I get asked what do Dads want for Father’s Day.

I’ve never met a dad who got excited about socks.

I’ve never met a dad who got emotional over a tie.

What dads really want is a day with their people.

A good smoked Brisket.

A milkshake.

A picnic table.

A little sunshine.

A few laughs.

And maybe a grandkid hanging all over him.

Making memories with his favorites. That’s what Dad wants.

If you’re looking for somewhere to bring Dad this Father’s Day, we’d be honored to be part of it.
