Spring has sprung! 🌱 Our latest seasonal release, year 4️⃣ of PRIMROSE, is here!

Wayyyyyyy back in 2019, we were introduced to the coffee of Felipe Luzon at the same time being introduced to Typica Mejorado, a new hybrid cultivar that has gone on to capture the hearts and minds of specialty lovers, roasters and green buyers alike. Well-grown Mejorado in Ecuador is heat lightning in the peak of summer. Bolts of white-hot energy splinter upon impact on your palate, lighting up new sensations with every sip. We were and are obsessed with matching the unbridled energy of Felipe’s Mejorado in 2019.

Fast forward through some Dark Times to our Now Times, when BLAM, a beautiful sample of Felipe’s 2025 Mejorado harvest landed in our mailbox. Meet Los Eucaliptos! Bright citrus, cakey sweetness, a cheerful springtime coffee is there ever was one ☺️☺️

Happy Sunday! It's kind of a scorcher 🥵 We've got Juice Balm on ice. It's cold and it's crushable 🫐🍓🍒🧊🧊🧊 Two other things to note! Secret menu item discovered: Espresso + Chocolate Coconut Water. I can’t fully explain this but kinda tastes like the Cherry Bomb latte from days. AND ☀️☀️☀️ our Spring seasonal coffee PRIMROSE drops online tomorrow but I’ve got a handful of early bags left today for locals 😎 Here til 1!

Roast Day! 🫘🔥

Here’s what happens before a coffee hits the menu:

sample roast → cupping table → extraction check → scale up the recipe → production roast → rest period → QC cupping → a few “real world” brewings to make sure it holds up outside of lab conditions → coffee hits the menu.

A lot of invisible work goes into making sure every coffee tastes good (and not to mention everything happening in the supply chain before it even gets to us! 😓) But we find that invisible work deeply satisfying and thankfully for all of us our Head Roaster Matthew is verrrry good at it 🙏🏻.

Gooooood morning Troy! Happy Sunday, we are chilling over here with Ndiara cortados and a very easy playlist. Kenya Ndiara on espresso option number two is tasting like lime zest, chocolate teddy grahams and molasses. Feeling like “I’m gonna have a nice little Sunday”. Here 9-1!

Good morning Troy! It’s a lovely Saturday morning and we’ve got some fresh and fun coffees on the menu. Kenya Muinami on hot drip tasting like soft lime and baking spices and feeling like the kind of early spring morning that restores a little of your joie de vivre. Here 9-1!
