*17, 680 (or 11.1% ) People were Food Insecure in Rensselaer County, 5,710 of which were children.

Right now, more families in our community are turning to the food pantry for help than ever before. We are committed to making sure no one goes hungry—but we can’t do it alone.

We are currently in need of food donations such as:
🥫 Canned vegetables, soups, and proteins
🍝 Pasta, rice, and boxed meals
🥣 Cereal and breakfast items
🧼 Basic household necessities

WHAT A GREAT GROUP OF FOLKS!!! Can't thank the KW Engineering Group of Troy enough for making the Mount Ida Food Pantry the recipients once again to their office challenge. TOMORROW IS GIVING TUESDAY. A day when we invite you to join our mission of uplifting our Neighbors in Need. Every dollar donated fuels our quest to feed our neighbors. Consider donating through our Venmo Ida Food Pantry or food donations can be dropped off Friday morning between 9am and 11am, Saturday morning between 9am and 12pm or call(518-272-1115) to set up an appointment to drop off. With your continued support we can keep shining a light of hope for our neighbors in need.

What an incredible community we're blessed to be part of! Trying to provide food assistance through the Mount Ida Food Pantry to 188 families in just two weeks was a monumental task, but with the overwhelming support we received from our community, we miraculously accomplished it! We can't express our heartfelt gratitude to all those who generously sent us monetary donations through Venmo and by mail. We're forever thankful for the outpouring of support and generosity from everyone!
But, as we look forward to SNAP benefits being restored our work is not done. We will continue to help our neighbors in need each week. Offering them fresh produce, bread, meats, cheese, milk, eggs, shelf stable groceries and personal hygiene items. And with your continued support we will be able to do it.
I feel blessed to be a part in Neighbors Helping Neighbors. ❤️
