NO SHAME. NO JUDGMENT. NO EXPLANATIONS NEEDED!
As we get closer to reopening The NAE Way, there’s something that’s been sitting on my heart that I want to share with y’all. 🥹❤️
I know everybody is excited for the food to come back, and BABYYYY TRUST ME, I’M READY TO GET BACK IN THAT KITCHEN! 😂🔥 But beyond the orders, the money, and growing my business, I’ve been thinking about something bigger.
OUR COMMUNITY. OUR FAMILIES. OUR PEOPLE. ❤️
Because let’s be real, LIFE IS LIFING right now! Groceries are expensive, bills don’t stop, and there are people working hard every single day who are still trying to figure out how to make ends meet.
And I want y’all to understand something. I’m not speaking from a place of never knowing what it’s like to struggle.
BABY, I’VE BEEN THERE! ❤️
I’ve been homeless. I’ve been a single parent trying to figure out my next move with absolutely NO idea how I was going to make it happen. I’ve had those moments where life was coming at me from every direction, my babies were depending on me, and somehow I STILL had to figure out the next step.
So when I say I understand what it’s like to need a little help, I MEAN THAT! 🥹❤️
I know what it’s like to need a blessing. I know what it’s like to wish somebody could just take ONE thing off your plate so you can breathe long enough to figure out your next move.
And sometimes that’s all somebody needs. Not a lecture. Not judgment. Not somebody questioning how they got into their situation.
JUST A LITTLE HELP AND A REMINDER THAT THEY’RE NOT ALONE. ❤️
Now, I’m going to be completely transparent. The NAE Way is a SMALL business. We’re still building, still growing, and still working toward everything I know this business can become. We have expenses, ingredients to purchase, and bills of our own.
As much as I would LOVE to feed everybody every single day, financially, we’re just not in that position yet.
BUT BABY, I DON’T WANT TO WAIT UNTIL WE’RE RICH TO START GIVING BACK! ❤️
Some days business is booming, some days are slower, and sometimes we may have extra food, extra ingredients, or the opportunity to prepare a few additional plates.
And when those days come, I would much rather put that food in somebody’s hands than see it go to waste.
Because a hot meal may not pay somebody’s rent, fix their situation, or solve everything they’re going through…
BUT THAT’S ONE LESS THING THEY HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THAT DAY! ❤️
And sometimes that little bit of relief means more than you could ever imagine.
So with that being said, I’m introducing something that means a whole lot to me…

This will be an ongoing thread pinned right here on our page for anyone who could use a hot, home-cooked meal.
Whether it’s for YOU, your children, a family member, a friend, a neighbor, or somebody you know who’s going through a difficult time, I want this to be a place where people feel comfortable reaching out.
And PLEASE hear me when I say this…
❤️ You DO NOT have to explain your situation.
❤️ You DO NOT have to share your personal business.
❤️ You DO NOT have to prove you’re struggling.
❤️ You DO NOT have to feel embarrassed or ashamed.
I NEVER WANT SOMEBODY TO FEEL LIKE THEY HAVE TO TELL THEIR SADDEST STORY JUST TO DESERVE A PLATE OF FOOD!
I don’t care if you have a job, a car, a home, or if everything looks perfectly fine on the outside. We never know what somebody else is carrying.
Needing help doesn’t make you less deserving of kindness. ❤️

🍽️ There’s no set schedule, and meals aren’t guaranteed. We’ll help when we’re able, with what we have available.
NO CAMERAS IN YOUR FACE. NO PUBLICLY EXPOSING YOUR SITUATION. NO EMBARRASSMENT.
Just a hot meal, a little love, and somebody reminding you that you matter. ❤️
And one day, when The NAE Way becomes everything I’m praying and working for it to become, I hope we’re able to do this on a MUCH bigger scale. Feed more families. Reach more people. Make a bigger difference.
But until then?
WE’RE GOING TO START RIGHT WHERE WE ARE, WITH WHAT WE HAVE! 🙏🏽❤️
Because if all we can do is bless one person with a meal, that’s one person who got to eat. If we can help one family worry a little less about dinner, then that matters too.
I know what it’s like to need somebody, and I never want to forget that feeling when I’m in a position to be that somebody for someone else.
I want The NAE Way to be known for more than just good food. I want us to be known for the love we put behind it and the hearts we touch along the way.
YOU DON’T HAVE TO HAVE EVERYTHING TO SHARE SOMETHING. ❤️
AND YOU DON’T HAVE TO EARN A SEAT AT OUR TABLE. 🍽️
So PLEASE share this post, even if you don’t personally need a meal. Somebody on your timeline might be struggling silently, and this could be the little bit of hope they need today.
We may not be able to feed the whole city, but we’re going to do our part whenever we can.
