Spent 2 days in Poggio Rusco with my Italian / Serbian family
Tomorrow morning off to Montevarchi, a small town outside Firenze (Florence) for three days of pizza one on one with Mirko Tassi, learning Roman style pizza and contemporary Neapolitan (and more)

Last 2 days in Bologna, tomorrow off to the small town of Poggio Rusco to visit my “nephew” Nicola and his folks for a couple days.
Got in a lot of walking as well as visiting my friend ( and pasta teacher) Michelle and her fiancé Christian.
Got in a little more pasta making and eating 😁

Walked around pesaro til noon,
Then train to Marotta mondolfo to visit pizza oven manufacturer Moretti Forni
And tested baking some Roman alla palla and also contemporary Neapolitan.
Then 2 1/2 hour train to Bologna
Got here about 8pm and did a little exploring.
Tried to get a late dinner but first place I wanted is very small and no tables available, second place was closing up 😞😞
So got some meats and bread at supermarket and back to Airbnb to watch Switzerland vs Columbia

Last full day in Pesaro, Italy. Finally got to do a little bit of hiking/walking ( just want matt to know, only 8.5miles)and a little bit more beach time. Tomorrow I go to look at some Pizza Oven’s and then Train to Bologna for a few days.

This is my 3rd time staying here
Walked around, watched a trombone recital near the beach , and then some really good Neapolitan pizza

Well, that’s a wrap,
I’m a little sad it’s all over
We were tested on

Soaghettini with aglow y olio

Mezzaluna ravioli stuffed with spinach and ricotta in butter sage emulsion

Saffron risotto

I messed up my risotto, added the parmigiana while risotto was still too hot and cheese got stringy ( pissec off at myself) so my score dropped, but still passed.

Tomorrow I will be drinking and a little shopping then early early Sunday on my way to Pesaro Italy ( beach) , about 10 minute train ride from Rimini
(6-7 hour train from Lecce where I am now)
