Finest Fried Maine Seafood has closed up shop.
Dear friends of our fish joint, how do you say goodbye to family? You don’t! So, so long, it’s been good to know you. We’ll see you again in different circumstances.
I’ve done this seafood booth with family and friends for 38 years. We’ve seen a lot of wonderful customers over that span of time! I have had a blast and am grateful to you for that. It has been one of the high points of my life. Heady stuff… My wife, Nancy once said, “it isn’t about the food!” What? Of course it is, but also so much more.
Be well, eat hearty, and give the ship a good name.

Just received from a long time Fryeburg Fair customer:

Since we are missing you this year at Fryeburg, my traveling companions that always go to the fair with and I are having a small “wish we were there” celebration on Sunday and trying to replicate some of our favorite foods. Since historically haddock is our first lunch on our first day, that is one of our choices. I got the fish today, but want to be sure I coat it properly before frying - can you please tell me the right way to coat the fish pieces? We are even having a skillet toss. All of this is taking place on Block Island where we all live. Hope all is well with you. Lisa Sprague

I turned 38 last week and I’m not sure a girl could be any luckier or get a better present than to love and be loved in return by such amazing people. My parents, my husband, my children and my friends (near and far). I am so rich. I’m am so blessed. I am thankful.

While clam strips might be the lesser cousin to the rest of our seafood offerings (not being whole belly clams). Our customers LOVE them. We lightly bread and fry them to perfection in peanut oil. They might not have the magic of a whole belly clam but they are dependably delicious!
