Think you should aim at the pin at Chambers Bay? Think again 🎯

Matt encourages players to practice "imagination golf" β€” visualizing the full hole, identifying the safest route to the green and making smart, strategic decisions based on the terrain in front of you.

Like many Scottish links, Chambers Bay is woven into the surrounding community with public walking paths and trails meandering through the property. In some of the shots, you can see how the dunes are shaped around those paths, helping protect walkers from errant golf balls.

Joggers, dog walkers, photographers, and countless others use these trails every day. We all share this land, and that connection is part of what makes Chambers Bay feel so deeply rooted in its community.

There are golfers who play Chambers Bay. And then there are golfers who play Chambers Bay at sunrise. The mist sitting low on the fescue. The Sound still.

If you've caught an early tee time here, you already know the difference.

Before the fairways. Before the greens. Before the first tee shot ever hit towards Puget Sound.

This is Chambers Bay on July 25, 2006 β€” shot from the air as the course was being shaped from the ground up. You can see the mounding of the holes, greens being formed, and the raw earth that would become one of the most celebrated public courses in the world.

We are beyond proud to share that Chambers Bay has been home to not one, but two major national recognitions.

Ryan Young, our Head Golf Professional, has been named the 2026 PGA of America National Player Development Award recipient β€” the highest honor in the country for growing the game. Ryan's work building pathways for players of every background and ability level at Chambers Bay is exactly what this award was made for.

And Matt Montecucco, our Junior Program Coordinator, took home three PGA Jr. League GameChanger Awards at the 2026 PGA Show β€” honoring coaches who go above and beyond to create meaningful experiences for young players and their families. Three awards. That's not a coincidence. That's a standard.

What makes this even more special is that these two work side by side every single day. The culture of player development at Chambers Bay didn't happen by accident β€” it was built through intentional coaching, genuine care for every guest and junior golfer who walks through our doors, and a shared belief that golf should be for everyone.

Congratulations, Ryan and Matt. We are proud to have you leading the way.

25 years in the game πŸŒŠβ›³

We're proud to celebrate Matt Cohen, General Manager of Chambers Bay, on 25 years as a PGA Member. It's a milestone that speaks to a career built on passion, professionalism, and an unwavering love for this sport.

We're lucky to have him leading the way here at Chambers Bay β€” and even luckier to call him part of the family.

Congratulations, Matt. Here's to the next chapter. πŸ†
