Huzzah, Cascadia — and thank you.
Year One of the Cascadia Renaissance Faire and Highland Festival is behind us, and we are still catching our breath.
To every patron who walked through our gates, every vendor who hauled in and set up a booth, and every performer who took a stage, played a pipe, tossed a caber, or held a crowd in the palm of their hand — you built this. You didn't just attend a faire. You *were* the faire. We could not have done year one without you.
Now for the honest part.
We are closing out the season at a $24,000 deficit, and to even begin looking at a Year Two, we need to raise $50,000. That's not a wish list — it's the number that covers what we owe, secures our grounds and permits, and gives us a real shot at coming back bigger, louder, and stranger next year.
So we've started a fundraiser on Zeffy. Zeffy takes zero platform fees, which means 100% of what you give goes to the faire — every dollar straight into year two.
If you loved something this year — a joust, a bard, a hand-forged blade, a terrible pun from a costumed stranger — this is how you keep it alive.
