After 35 years of serving the community, Country Fish Fry has made the decision to close our doors permanently.
This is not a decision we ever imagined having to make, but it is time. Our focus needs to be on family.
Country Fish Fry has always been more than just a restaurant—it has been a place built on hard work, tradition, and love, originally started by our father and carried on through the years by Yiotta. She has dedicated her life to continuing his legacy and making this restaurant what it is. We are beyond grateful for everything she has poured into this business and into this community.
To our crew, past and present - the restaurant business is not easy—it takes long hours and heart—and the people who choose this work are truly special. Your care is what made this place feel like home to so many, and we could not have done it without you. Thank you.
To our customers—for over three decades, you showed up, supported us, and made Country Fish Fry a true Fayetteville staple. From our hushpuppies, to the conversations across the counter, this place became what it was because of you. We are so grateful for every visit, every meal shared, and every memory made. Thank you.
To the Fayetteville community—we have always known and felt how special this place is. That’s why our family chose this community to call home. It’s the people who make Fayetteville what it is. This is a community that supports, uplifts, and stands by its own, allowing small businesses like ours to thrive for over 30 years. There’s a bond here that feels like family—because no one cares for Fayetteville quite like the people who call it home.
Thank you to The Fayetteville Observer and the others who helped tell our story over the years, and to everyone who continues to run small businesses, support local businesses, and choose to eat and shop local. That support matters now more than ever—please continue to show up for the small businesses that make our community special.
While this chapter is coming to a close, the memories, friendships, and sense of community built here will stay with us forever.
With love and hushpuppies,
The Hasapis - Hasty Family
