A Tapas Restaurant and Bar located in the heart of downtown Bloomington, Reality Bites gives you the best of both worlds; great food and an exciting night out on the town. Reality Bites provides a sophisticated, fun feel in a college town, serving a large diverse menu of lunch and dinner as well as a fully stocked bar. You can come in after a long day on Friday evening and just have a drink or anytime Tuesday thru Saturday to have a hearty meal and enjoy time with friends. Reality Bites is locally owned and takes pride in satisfying our customer's needs.

Three months ago, we had to temporarily close our doors alongside several neighboring businesses due to the issues that stemmed from the streetscape construction. As we work to clean and reorganize, we’ve had quite some time to think.

When we look back as a family at our time with this establishment, it’s nothing short of fond memories. We genuinely love the people and space. However, our father has faced some serious health issues during this interim, forcing us to re-evaluate. As our father transitions into retirement, our goal now is to get Reality Bites ready for the next chapter.

To the community and our local neighbors – Thank you for the years of support. You guys are what made Reality Bites so special. If you’re interested in carrying on the Reality Bites name and legacy, or looking to venture into something new, please reach out to myself or Meghan at Axis 360.

****NOTICE**** As most of you know by now, downtown streetscape is going on. With all the rain we’ve had, some of the buildings on the 400 block have taken on a lot of mud and water. Reality Bites is one of those. Everything on the lower level has to be moved so we can clean and repair. It’s going to take some time. Because of this we are forced to close until further notice. Look for us to reopen when the 400 block is closer to being done. It’s a mess now, but it’s going to be really nice when completed. Thanks !!
