What is the standard real estate compensation?

One of the most asked question in our industry! Answer is simple!

There is not one!

Sherman Antitrust Act of 1890 prevents real estate brokerages from doing such practices. Doing so is illegal and has major fines! But an individual brokerage can set their own compensation limits within their own office. They just can't get together with others to set a price.

Monopolies destroy families! Or maybe that's just the board game 😅

Like any industry there will always be someone who can do it for less. IKEA vs Pottery Barn, Ford vs Chevy, Uncle Tim vs XYZ Construction.

It is ok to ask for a second opinion and even a third. Hard to ask for your money back though.😅

Yuma real estate market is still going strong! Just make sure you are pricing your properties competitively. Worst thing you can do is over price your property.

"But I can allows go down but not up." Yes that is true but when there is a lot of inventory people move on and keep looking instead of making an offer in fear of insulting the seller or wasting their time.

Then when you finally reduce your price buyers look at the days on market and assume you are motivated or something is wrong with the property and then shoot in a lower offer asking for everything under the sun.
