The Local Fix Pauses Operations for the Fall and Winter
SkyWay Entertainment cites rising fuel costs and softer demand.
Broadway 830, Hangar 6 Air Cafe and Smoothie King Uvalde remain open with regular hours
UVALDE, Texas (October 26, 2026) — SkyWay Entertainment announced today that The Local Fix has paused operations for the fall and winter months. The restaurant served its last guests on Sunday, Oct 25, 2026.
Like many small, locally owned restaurants, The Local Fix has faced steadily rising costs for food, fuel and labor and for those reasons, customer demand has declined.
The pause affects The Local Fix only. SkyWay's other restaurants — Broadway 830, Hangar 6 Air Cafe and Smoothie King in Uvalde — are not affected and will continue to serve guests with their regular
hours and menus.
During the pause, The Local Fix will be available to rent as a private venue for events, and catering is available. For bookings and catering inquiries, contact Mark Espinoza at 210-364-9279 or

“We want to thank every guest who came through our doors and every team member who gave their best at The Local Fix,” said Mark Espinoza, President of SkyWay Entertainment. “This community has supported us from day one, and we don't take that for granted. We tried hard to make the numbers work, but the honest answer is that our costs kept climbing while fewer people were coming in. Pausing now is the responsible choice, so we can keep serving Uvalde for years to come.”
Espinoza added that the company will use the coming months to evaluate the best path forward for the location. “We'll take this time to listen and figure out what our community wants and needs from that space,” he said. “When we know more, our community will be the first to hear it.”
