We have a treat for everyone this weekend. We've sourced a few boxes of sweet and spicy Italian sausage that was hand-made Tuesday in The Bronx and picked up Wednesday morning by our go-to butcher. Fresh as can be and smoked to perfection before they're finished on the flattop and plated on a potato bun with peppers and onions.

Oh, and we also have giant Bavarian pretzels!

We're here Saturday 12-9 and Sunday 12-7.

Friends newer to the J 'n' C family often ask who the "J" and "C" of J 'n' C BBQ are... well, here they are! Before being located at Alias Brew Works, even before the Butler restaurant, J 'n' C was an award-winning competition BBQ team, named after our rescue dogs, Jack (the yellow lab mix) and Conor (the English pointer mix).

Jack came to us from Alabama, by way of a rescue in Stroudsburg, PA on August 30, 2014, when he was just 3.5 months old. Conor originally hails from Georgia, and we adopted him from Ruff Rehab in Mountain Lakes on December 8, 2014, at 7 months old. Which yes, makes them both 10 now!

They were instantly brothers, from the minute we brought Jack to Conor's rescue to meet him and see if they'd get along. And of course they love BBQ, so naming J 'n' C after them was a no brainer!

We've been having a great time so far this weekend!

Everyone's loving our BBQ sliders, as well as the German franks, straight from the butcher, served three ways: New York style, Midwestern style and BBQ style with your choice of smoked meat and cheddar. We still have some left, but they're going fast!

Alias' first lager, Kellerbier Vol. 1, is a huge hit too.

The brewery is open today and tomorrow 12-8. Food is served until one hour before closing.

Today's the day!

In addition to the BBQ fare you know & love, today we debut our German franks from the butcher, served three ways: New York style, Midwestern style and BBQ style with your choice of smoked meat and cheddar, which will be available through Monday.

While you're here, try pairing the dogs with the first Alias lager, Kellerbier Vol. 1, served in 19 oz dimpled mugs. A kellerbier is a young lager pulled from the lagering tank while it still holds some yeast in suspension. For Kellerbier Vol. 1, they pulled a single half barrel from a German lager they brewed with all-NJ pilsner malt from the great maltsters at Rabbit Hill Farm, and gently hit it with a traditional dose of Hallertauer Mittlefruh and Saaz hops.

The brewery is open today 12-10, Sunday 12-8 and Monday 12-8. Food is served until one hour before closing.
