Just got back from another incredible mission trip to Bucaramanga, Colombia—our 4th time there. 🇨🇴

We spent time with our Java Relief Foundation ministry partners, the Niños Para Dios Foundation (“Children for God”), and stayed with our dear friends Julian and Carolina—who truly feel like family to us.

They care for Venezuelan refugee children whose mothers are doing everything they can to survive and provide—many forced into extremely difficult and heartbreaking situations to raise money for their kids as a s*x-worker. Too often, these children are left alone in unsafe environments. It’s hard to witness… but sometimes it’s good for your heart to be broken by the things that matter.

From the beginning, Java Relief has come alongside Niños Para Dios to help provide a safe place for these kids—especially those who can’t attend school due to their refugee status. Here, they are loved, protected, and given opportunity. They receive meals, education, music, Bible teaching and love — building both hope and a future.

This trip was especially meaningful—we got to see and ride in the van we were able to provide for the foundation, helping safely transport the kids.

CUBA MISSION REPORT 🇨🇺
Wow… what an adventure. When Americans and Canadians were exiting Cuba, we went in! I'm so glad we did!

4 Americans. 4 Guatemalans. 20–30 Cubans.
Working hand in hand to deliver hope.

I had the privilege of partnering with Wheels a Cuba and Hope Haven International to distribute 225 wheelchairs to individuals in need across Cuba — ages 6 to 103 years old.

You could literally watch someone’s life change in front of your eyes as they received the gift of mobility.

Some had never owned a wheelchair.
Others arrived with rusted, broken-down hand-me-downs held together with wire and tape.

The Cuban Red Cross became my new superheroes — carrying recipients in on their backs and on stretchers. Government officials helped transport families and even honored our team with an award ceremony in appreciation.

It was humbling. Beautiful. Emotional.

Please pray for the people of Cuba.
Food is scarce. Gas is nearly nonexistent. Daily blackouts are expected. The people are resilient and kind — but they are living in very hard circumstances.

Thank you, Hope Haven International, for this faith-based initiative, your generosity and love in donating these 225 wheelchairs.

I helped assemble chairs, encouraged families while they waited, and documented the entire experience through photo and video.

Shout-out to Oakwood Community Church!

What an incredible church. They were the very first church to purchase and serve our coffee each week and have supported us faithfully for the past seven years. Everyone there is so encouraging.

They invited Brandy and me to share about Java Relief, and Pastor Jon became emotional at each service as he came forward to pray over us. I love that man. (Brandy and I had tears too.)

We sold $3,200 in coffee — 228 bags!
Plus, we’ve received around $1,900 in donations so far.

God is so good. What a blessing. ❤️
