This passion motivates us to experiment and invent, to look at what we prepare from fresh angles and try to make it even tastier, more sensual and vibrant. This idea of simple, vibrant food is one of Red Reina’s basic principles. Unquestionably, along with a sense of generosity and community, it is our driving force. Our menu and wine selection changes seasonally and is based on availability of the highest quality ingredients. We buy local produce (from the Walla Walla Valley, Washington and Oregon), and we cook to feed and to share, applying the same instincts as a home cook. We make most everything we sell from scratch with raw ingredients that, as much as possible, we purchase directly from the growers or the producers. To complement our freshly made offerings we also scout out the most exciting and surprising prepared foods from small producers throughout the Northwest that share our passion for great food. Above all, we only create things that we would want to eat ourselves. We don’t use coloring or preservatives, and we are committed to using organic, fair trade, sustainable and environmentally responsible products as much as possible. This includes our food products as well as all of the packaging, paper products, and cleaning supplies that we use to keep our store and kitchen healthy, homey and welcoming.
