lol…People are asking me what Bailey Toast is…
Bailey was the last name of my grandma Rosie’s neighbor Mrs Bailey, When she made toast she would melt butter 🧈 in her pan , most commonly it was cast iron,
She would put her bread 🍞 on the melted butter in the pan to toast it…… She called it Bailey toast so grandma did too and yes…. So do I!!!
It’s the best! I don’t know how far that simple technique goes back in the Bailey family. It covers the entire side of the piece of toast. Makes awesome toasted cheese.
You can also put garlic 🧄 in the melted butter 🧈 and fry any style bread 🥖 from Hotdog buns, hamburger buns, French bread, Baget, croutons. SIMPLE SIMPLE🤷🏼‍♀️

A delicious fried garden with garden vegetables.
Chopped tomatoes🍅
Shredded zucchinis whole-
Shredded -1- sweet onion
Fresh Chicken eggs 🥚 🥚
Kraft Mayonnaise
Wonder flour
Salt and sugar
Fried thinly in Vegetable oil
Till golden brown.
Kirk is a “NeeleyFlay” That’s what Willow calls him.

Next time I will ask Kirk to lay them on a bakers Sheet Pre cooked ~Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on them. Sauté
2 chopped green peppers 🫑 add them to a sweet Spaghetti sauce, then cover them with the Pepper sauce.
Sprinkle heavily with mozzarella and bake @ 350 30 minutes or until the cheese is browned. Yummy!
They would be good with shredded Parmesan but I don’t care for it.
Serve it with a fresh Cucumber salad.🥗

Memories of Hamburger Gravy on Bailey Toast …
Nummy! Food always tastes better on cooler summer days on the back porch for breakfast… The food smells good, The backyard crick sounds are relaxing…
The roosters are crowing in the henhouse… and the smell of the outdoors is refreshing.
These are great memories.

Mama Jewels Cinnamon Rolls: After proofing and beating down twice I refrigerate the dough for 1-2 days. Then comes rolling out time with my huge rolling pin. The photos don’t do justice to how big the dough rolls out to. Chilling the dough keeps it from rising and for me to roll it really thin. I melt unsalted butter and lather a thick coating of butter over the dough then I quickly put a thick layer of prepared cinnamon sugar over the butter. You can leave the dough plain or this would be the time that you would also apply a thick layer of crushed Pecans,Walnuts or Any nut that you like Pistachio, These 2 first nuts are the ones I used. Mama Jewels rolled the dough very very thin so that each bite was filled with flavor and not all bready.
Then I sliced them and placed them on two baking pans lined with baking sheets … I made so many that I had slicing down to a science. One huge roll made two large pans and either 1 small bakers pan or 4 cinnamon loaves. I then poured melted butter over each Cinnamon roll and put a layer of cinnamon sugar on top of each one. Same with the loaves.
Time to bake- Place in a preheated oven @350
( I have a convection oven )
So bake according to your oven. They are all different.
I can bake everything at one time. I usually can trust a timer but I am in habit of checking them at 25 minutes. While they bake I make the frosting to apply while they are hot.
2- cubes of butter melted till soft 🧈 One bag and a half of Powdered sugar- 1 TBS Vanilla Extract
1 TBS Torani Syrup mix with hand mixer or table top mixer till smooth and creamy consistency. Check your Cinnamon Rolls…..
As soon as you take them out of the oven lather them with frosting… Then lather them one last time. Make sure that you cover every nook and cranny. Then let them set a spell before you get one out.
Always Always Remember one important thing!
None of your bakery goods are going to look perfect! But they may taste perfect 👌
It’s been quite some time since I have had the opportunity and pleasure to Bake , Especially Cinnamon Rolls …. I hope 1- I remembered correctly and 2- I hope I remembered correctly 😝 lol 😂

Someone asked me WHY? Do you call your cupcakes “HAPPY CAKES”?
🧁 Well when my grandma was alive and I was a little girl , one day when she made cupcakes 🧁 I asked for one and she said that they were called “HAPPY CAKES” because they made me happy… And they made her happy to make me happy and smiley, Then she patted me on the head and gave me three on a Paper plate…with strict instructions to go outside and give my brother Brian and my aunt Melanie each one…. So I went outside and did just that ….
I never heard her say that again but it stuck in my memory… My grandmother was an amazing Baker, Gardener, Florist, Cook, Prepper. She and grandpa had an underground Cellar that was cold cold…Even in the summertime. It kept all Root vegetables, Apples and such from the family Orchard Farm cold…There definitely didn’t seem to be anything that she couldn’t do. She was a short lady but I looked up to her even as I grew up…. FIVE MORE MINUTES… I WISH I COULD HAVE FIVE MORE MINUTES, I have so many questions I would love to ask her.💔
