THE SECRET IS OUT!

For years, one of the things our customers loved most about Between Friends Coffee was our authentic New York bagels. And we have a confession to make...

We weren't kidding when we said they came from New York!

We actually had our bagels shipped all the way from New York to Warner Robins. Because when we said we wanted to bring a little taste of NYC to Middle Georgia, we meant it! Now that our doors have closed, we figured it was finally time to share one of our best-kept secrets: Our bagels came from New Yorker Bagels!

And the best part? You can order them for yourself and have them delivered right to your door!

So, if you've been missing your favorite Between Friends bagel, now you know where to find it. We might not be around to toast it and serve it with your morning coffee anymore, but at least we can help you bring a little piece of Between Friends back to your breakfast table.

Some secrets are just too delicious to keep forever!

With love,
Your friends at Between Friends Coffee

We're sharing old favorites, surprising each other with our choices, and exploring how the books we read at different stages of life can shape the way we see ourselves and the world around us. Have you ever looked at your life and realized you're not the same person you were five years ago? Or even one year ago? Maybe you've outgrown friendships, changed your beliefs, questioned things you once accepted without hesitation, or finally started figuring out who you are outside of everyone else's expectations.

Sometimes growth is exciting. Sometimes it's uncomfortable. And sometimes it means grieving versions of ourselves we thought we'd always be.

In our latest episode of Unfiltered Conversations Between Friends, we're talking about all of it: the experiences that shape us, the things we carry, the beliefs we reconsider, and the complicated process of becoming someone new while still trying to understand who we've always been.

We also close this episode with Victoria reading "The Guest House" by Rumi, a beautiful poem that reminds us that even the difficult emotions and experiences have something to teach us. This isn't just a conversation about our lives. It's about yours, too!

If you haven't listened to Episode #7 yet, we'd love for you to join the conversation. You might hear something you didn't realize you needed!

Unfiltered Conversations Between Friends is available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, and wherever you listen to your favorite podcasts! Thank you for being our Friend! Conversations are better Between Friends.

NEW EPISODE! Episode 7: Between Being and Becoming

Who are we when we begin questioning everything we thought we knew about ourselves?

In this week's episode of Unfiltered Conversations Between Friends, we're diving into one of our most personal conversations yet. We're talking about identity, mental health, personal growth, the power of words, and the experiences that shape who we are.

How much of who we are has been shaped by other people's expectations? What happens when we begin questioning beliefs we've held for years? How do we learn to let go of the things that no longer serve us, set boundaries without guilt, and give ourselves permission to grow into someone different?

We're exploring the space between the people we've been, the people we think we're supposed to be, and the people we're still becoming. Along the way, we touch on relationships, faith, emotional wounds, healing, and the realization that changing your mind doesn't necessarily mean losing yourself. Sometimes, it means finally finding yourself.

At the end of the episode, Victoria shares a reading of "The Guest House" by Rumi, a beautiful poem about welcoming the full range of human emotions and experiences, even the uncomfortable ones. It's a fitting reminder that every feeling, every challenge, and every season of life has something to teach us.

Whether you've known us since or before our coffee shop days or you're just discovering our podcast, we hope this conversation encourages you to reflect on your own journey. You don't have to have everything figured out, and you don't have to remain the person you were yesterday.

*Content Note: This episode includes discussions of mental health, religious experiences, abuse, emotional trauma, and other sensitive personal topics.*

NEW EPISODE: Between Loving It and Leaving It

Can you love something and still need to leave it?

For Episode #6 of Unfiltered Conversations Between Friends, we’re joined by our longtime friend and former Between Friends team member, Jennifer Duffey, for a conversation that starts with the coffee shop but goes much deeper.

We talk about what happens when something you genuinely love becomes heavy. Burnout. Emotional exhaustion. The pressure of being the dependable one. Saying “I’m fine” when you absolutely are not. Showing up for work, family, friends, and everyone else while quietly struggling yourself. We also talk about the strange kind of grief that comes with choosing to leave something behind.

Can you miss something without wanting it back? Can leaving be the right decision and still break your heart? Can you be grateful for a chapter of your life and also be relieved that it’s over? And how much of who we are becomes wrapped up in what we do, where we work, and how much other people need us?

Jennifer spent ten years with us at Between Friends, so this one gets personal. We look back at what those years gave us, what they took from us, what we miss, what we definitely do not miss, and what we understand now that we couldn’t see while we were living it.

Sometimes two things can be true at once: You can be grateful for something and exhausted by it. You can miss something and not want it back. You can know leaving was the right decision and still grieve it. You can love something and still leave it.

Who would be your absolute dream celebrity guest on a podcast?

This question felt especially timely after we had just seen one of Victoria's bucket list performers, and, naturally, it led us into a conversation about the celebrities we would love to sit down with for an honest, unfiltered conversation.

Who would you choose?

NEW EPISODE: Between Questions & Answers

You asked. We answered. And apparently, you had QUESTIONS.

This week on "Unfiltered Conversations Between Friends," we handed the episode over to you and answered your questions about our friendship, owning Between Friends Coffee together, closing the shop, the podcast, and everything in between.

We’re talking about the biggest differences between us as business owners, the things we did that drove each other absolutely crazy, our favorite memories from the coffee shop, what we miss, what we definitely do NOT miss, whether we regret closing, and the big question: If someone handed us enough money tomorrow, would we actually reopen Between Friends?

We also get into why we kept the Between Friends name alive after the coffee shop closed, what owning a business together taught us about each other, the customers who became friends, our favorite food and drinks from the shop, dream celebrity guests, influential people in our lives, and plenty more. And because no conversation between us ever stays completely on topic, **Hayley Williams and Lily Tomlin** somehow make their way into the episode, too.

Some questions made us laugh. Some made us think. And some probably got more honest answers than the person asking expected. That’s kind of the whole point around here.
