A little schedule update 🤎

Breanna Bakes will be closed the next two weeks, July 16th and July 23rd. I’ll be taking time to volunteer at the county fair and then it’s marathon week for the Trailblaze challenge with Make-A-Wish Oregon.

I’ll be back and open for orders starting July 30th. Orders will be open starting today. Thank you so much for your continued support and understanding. I can’t wait to get back to baking for you all!

Hi, friends! I realized it’s been a while since I properly introduced myself, so welcome if you’re new here. 🤎

I’m Breanna, the baker behind Breanna Bakes Sourdough. I’m based in Columbia County, where I started baking sourdough nearly three years ago as a creative outlet and a way to slow down during a busy season of life. What started as a hobby has grown into a small home-based bakery that now helps support my family in a meaningful way.

I specialize in weekly made-to-order pickups, baking everything fresh each week to ensure the highest quality. My focus is on sourdough bread, classic chocolate chip cookies, cinnamon rolls, and dinner rolls. I’ve intentionally kept my menu simple, focusing on classic, comforting baked goods.

I’m married to my husband, Michael, my incredibly supportive (and somehow now unpaid assistant), and we have two sweet girls. One of our daughters has complex medical needs, and being able to run my business from home allows me to care for her full time while still contributing to our household.

We recently moved into our 1925 farmhouse and we’re beginning an exciting new chapter here. One of the biggest projects ahead is a small outbuilding on the property we call the Bread Shed, which we plan to renovate into a dedicated bakery kitchen and future production space for Breanna Bakes Sourdough.

You’ll start to see more behind-the-scenes updates soon as we begin bringing the Bread Shed to life and growing this next season of the bakery.

Breanna Bakes Sourdough is back open! 🤎

After our big move, I’m so excited to be back in the kitchen baking for you all again. Thank you for your patience, support, and encouragement during this transition, it means more than you know.

I’m looking forward to a summer full of fresh sourdough and sweet treats, including a new menu item: Sourdough Snickerdoodle Cookies! 🍪

🍪 Cookie Sale Fundraiser! 🍪

I’m doing another bake sale to support my Trailblaze Challenge team! 💙🥾

Proceeds remaining after ingredient and supply costs will be donated to my Make-A-Wish team, Evie’s Wish Walkers. I was able to donate $100 from my last bread sale!

A Breanna Bakes Update 🤎

Hi friends!

Now that we’re getting settled after the move, I wanted to share a quick update. I’m excited about the new kitchen space and what’s ahead for Breanna Bakes.

One of our next big projects is turning an old garden shed on our property into the Breanna Bakes Sourdough bread shed with a drive up window! It’s a dream we’ve had for a long time, and while it will take time and planning, we’re excited to start making it happen.

Thank you for your patience as I slowly begin opening back up. Keep an eye out for random bake days because I’ve missed being in the kitchen and can’t wait to get back to baking more regularly.

This is my last week baking before the move. It’s bittersweet saying goodbye to this kitchen, but I’m so excited to build out my new space and welcome new appliances next week.

I have some exciting news to share… 🤎

We’ve purchased a farmhouse and will be moving next month. It already includes an addition that we’ll eventually be turning into a dedicated space for bakery pick-up orders, which makes this next chapter feel especially meaningful for both our family and my business.

This move also opens the door for me to expand my bakery in ways I’ve only dreamed about, and I’m so excited for what’s ahead.

Pre-orders are now open for next week as usual. As we get closer to moving day, I may take a couple of weeks off to settle in and get everything set up in our new space. I’ll keep you all updated as things get closer.
