In 1986, just about the same time the ball was going through Bill Buckner’s legs, I was putting the finishing touches on my new sirloin strip sandwich concept- “Strip-T’s.” Over the years, as other items took over the menu and beef prices rose, the sirloin strip sandwich phased out. We had already built a solid customer base by that time and the name caught on so it stayed. But to me, Strip T’s Re

staurant was always more than a steak sandwich shop with a quirky name. It was about creating a fun, inspiring, affordable and quality based restaurant. We wanted to serve homemade food, through personable wait staff, to great customers. The type of creative food, that people couldn’t find in the area at the time- or now for that matter. These items can still be caught flying out of the kitchen on occasion. Once in a while (upon request of course) you can still participate in customer abuse days. Today, we continue to specialize in food prepared from scratch, with elevated service in a comfortable dining atmosphere. From our “old school Strip T’s” lunch menu featuring traditional burgers and fries to the crispy pigtails, poutine, baby bok choy and other world class dishes on our dinner menu, there’s something here for everyone to enjoy. Bring your family and friends to join us and I promise you will leave saying “great food…but what’s up with that name?”

Hope all our former friends and customers are staying healthy, miss everyone!

My sons Tim and Zack are gathering speciality groceries from local farms and restaurant purveyors and providing contactless deliveries.

After 30 years making contributions to school programs I am asking for help supporting the WALTHAM BOYS BASKETBALL program.

We are looking for a few sponsors/ advertisers for the handout all fans get at the home games.

$200 for a 2.5×2.5 ad
$400 for a 4.5×2.5 ad

My son Tim opened a new restaurant in the south end. Whaling in Oklahoma is the name ( it's in the old Tremont 647 space ). It's an American brasserie focusing on Japanese flavors. The food is delicious and cocktails are yummy. Please go to Eaterboston and vote for Whaling as best new restaurant!!!!!
