Hey guys! So we woke up to a flood in the tearoom today from a busted water pipe in another unit. I've been here all day trying to get as much water out as possible and am currently waiting on a restoration company to come update us on turn around time and what all has to be done. I'll keep you posted as soon as I here anything. Thanks

For 3.5 years the Gardenia Tea Room has been proud to serve as the only dedicated afternoon tea room on the Gulf Coast. We pride ourselves on the level of quality and service we provide to our customers. With that in mind I'd like to thank my daughters and my staff for their contributions to helping to make the tea room what it is.

In this current economic climate, it's getting harder and harder for small businesses to survive, indicated by the loss of many great stores and restaurants recently. Food costs and additional shipping costs have contributed greatly to this difficulty.

With that in mind, effective July 1st, we will be updating our pricing. The regular gardenia will be $39.99 and the petite gardenia will be $25.99. If you have a current reservation for July, we will keep it at our current price however, any new reservations going forward will be subject to our new price.

This decision was not made lightly and utterly breaks my heart but is completely necessary if we are going to continue to grow to our 4 year anniversary in January and beyond. I love it when a great collaboration happens. I had a customer come in who was gluten free and dairy free. Well, if you've ever been to the tearoom you know I have a close personal relationship with dairy.😆 So I can do gluten-free but dairy free was a challenge for me, particularly for dessert. As I was in one of my favorite local ice cream/snowball shops, Flying Dolly’s Bay St. Louis, I noticed a gluten-free, dairy free ice cream and the wonderful worker explained that they sell it by the pint and voila! Dessert for my customer with an almond cookie we added on the side. Happy customer, happy tearoom!!
