There are seasons when the hardest thing to do isn’t pushing harder. It’s learning how to rest. I’ve had to learn that the hard way. There were times I thought if I just did more, carried more, or worried a little longer, I could somehow fix everything. But that’s not how God works.

Hebrews 4:10 says, “For anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from His.” That verse reminds me that rest isn’t quitting. It’s trusting. It’s believing that God is still moving even when we stop striving.

I’ve carried worries I was never meant to carry. Pressure. Expectations. Things I thought depended on me. But real rest came when I finally laid it down and said, “Lord, I trust You with this.”

Spiritual rest doesn’t mean life suddenly gets quiet. It means your heart does. It’s choosing faith over fear, peace over pressure, and surrender over control.

If you’re tired today, not just in your body but deep in your soul, I pray you find the rest that only Jesus can give. The kind of rest that reminds you He’s got you, and He always will.

The Cross Church of Noble has joined forces with Project Safe from Shawnee, and they are convening tonight at 6:30 at 2919 156th AVE SE Norman, OK. A considerable amount of information and resources will be available, and attendees will be able to meet the counselors. The Cross Church of Noble A Dinner will be Provided at 6pm

This will be the first of many posts to come. 💖 So many have been curious as to what is going on at the former Pit Stop Cafe in Wayne. There is so much to explain but know this, it will now be known as the home base for Makayla's-(May May) Purple Butterfly Foundation. So much is needed to get this up and going. The initial goals are to get the paperwork, funding and everything that goes along with starting a foundation of this magnitude. Volunteers in this area of expertise are very much needed. God has a plan and it is up to us to execute this plan to help others that have been victims of domestic violence. This is hallowed ground as it is the place where Barbara Harper first learned about Makaylas disappearance. The beginning of a nightmare that has forever changed the lives of so many. 💔
For now, when you see vehicles there, feel free to stop in and visit. Creativity, crafts and love are being served at this time. Feel free to share this post with anyone you feel can help or that needs help. Long term goals are many which include counseling and a safe place. The name will be changed. This is simply a pin so you know where it ended and a new season begins. Love and peace to all. Prayers are free and needed. More to come.
