After the closing of the Mohawk movie theatre, a local orthodontist purchased the building for his mother to open an Italian restaurant. She along with other local friends started cooking with their recipes brought over from Italy. People from all over Stark and surrounding counties would come to enjoy the homemade pastas and bread. In 1986 the entire theatre was remodeled to accommodate the growi

ng number of patrons. The large dining room can seat over two hundred people, and offers a unique atmosphere. From it’s high ceiling to the stage where local residents occasionally entertain with dinner theatrics.

Cibo’s will be closed on July 4th and will reopen on July 5th at 11am, closing at 4pm, as we commemorate our 250-year anniversary. We hope everyone has a wonderful holiday weekend celebrating 🇺🇸.
