This tea room couch is so comfortable! It’s sometimes tempting to sit here instead of, you know, getting my work done. Maybe if I reserve the space for a tea party using our website, I can find a way to spend my shift here… and get sandwiches included, too.

If you’re a seasoned player, a sometimes-gamer, or a newbie without even a set of dice to your name, this is the event for you! The GM/DM we have recruited is familiar with Dungeons and Dragons, Pathfinder, and the Generic Universal Roleplaying System, so you will be well-hosted as you sip tea, socialize with other TTRPG players, and complete a scavenger hunt for prizes! Calling all Antique Advocates, Tea Fiends, and other people who share my pathological need for whimsy and charm! Waynesville’s Summer Passport started Friday May 22 and runs through August 15th. It’s pretty simple: every time you pass through Waynesville and shop, dine, or gift-hunt at a participating merchant, they’ll mark your passport. Visit a couple times over the summer and gradually fill it out, and you’ll be entered into drawings for prizes including a free AirBnB stay (that’s with us!), dinner for two, gift baskets, gift cards, or even some cash! Thai food doesn’t play around when it comes to layered and intense flavors, and their tea is no exception to this rule. Usually, it’s made with a specialist filter (shown on the right) to brew it as strong as humanly possible, and it’s sweetened to match the intensity of the brew. When it’s served iced and cut with condensed and/or coconut milk, it helps soothe the heat that Thai curries are notorious for with additives like coconut, cardamom, and sometimes saffron or safflower, too. At the risk of disrespecting the tea leaves, I gave a stab at doing it justice using techniques our customers could replicate at home, and while the iconic color might take a little more practice, the flavor would be nice to have at home on those nights where I get a little too enthusiastic with the chili peppers!

I’ll keep it brief, since I run the social accounts, but I’ve recently gotten up the courage to put my art up for sale, so… Hi! I’m Elizabeth, I paint with acrylic and gouache, but mostly work in textile and wearable art, and my biggest inspirations come from literature (including fairy tale illustrations) and animal subjects. A lot of the time, any garment that I have made to wear was, on some level, first present in my 2-D art!
