Great News!

With the help of the planning board, we now have a conditional plan in place to open our drive up coffee service. A major factor has been traffic flow with a serious concern about having a line of cars that extends beyond our front driveway, creating backup that spills out onto state highway 114.

As a solution, we will be moving the coffee drive-up to the back side of the building. This will give us a lot more direct driveway space and also allow us to route any overflow traffic around the farmers market area. In order to make this happen, we will need to build more durable driveways out back and modifying the front accessway.

Our goal is to open the drive up coffee business in early May. We also intend to reopen the outdoor farmers market about the same time. To accomplish this, we will need to work quickly, bringing in loads of gravel and equipment to do significant driveway work in front and behind the building.

We have decided the safest and fastest way to accomplish this will be to temporarily close the Weare Real Food Market store for the month of April. Dates will be updated as progress continues. The store will still be open and products will still be available by appointment only, but it would not be safe to have the parking lot open to public traffic during construction.

We will be posting updates to Facebook on the Weare Real Food Market page and on the Weares My Coffee page. You will be able to follow our progress there!

In the observance of the bitter winter weather expected tomorrow, we are extending the soft opening to include Sunday and Monday, 8am to 10am.

This will allow us to hear from you and test our system without the concern that the weather will prevent people from seeing us.
