Getting some questions about when we open for 2026. We plan to open as tradition is on Friday of Memorial Day weekend, this year that’s May 22nd.
will be back for their 3rd season opening maybe a weekend before us- follow them for deets.
We’re excited for our season ahead after a cold, long snowy winter! We’ve hired & scheduled most of our scooping team, ordering merch and hearing about new flavors - the planning season starts earlier and earlier it seems each year!

We wanted to share this, many may not know Shea’s story or her incredible accomplishments despite so many challenges.
Our hearts are with Shea’s family and we know yours are too. The outpouring of support and kind messages on our platforms have been heart warming. We’re sure this brings some solace to the unimaginable pain her family is experiencing.
Smiles for Shea

We were blessed to have such a sweet soul open our doors each season for many years. Shea also opened our hearts.
Her parents many times shared with us how much Shea loved working at Scoop Deck. We meant a lot to Shea. Her job gave her a purpose and a place and was truly a bright spot for her. She loved the energy and the inevitable foolishness she’d overhear and see! Shea had a wonderful sense of humor and such a playful side.
Shea meant a lot to us as well, she taught us how to be brave, strong and that everything was a little better with Chocolate Cookie Monster ice cream. Shea will live forever in our hearts.
We introduce to you our new menu item, Shea’s Shake. 100% of all the sales will go to a cause Shea loved, Camp Sunshine at Sebago Lake ☀️
Shea may have flipped that closed sign for the final time in human form, but she will always be with us in our hearts. Cheers to her (clinking our Shea Shake always & forever) ❤️

Shea has worked with us for a few years now helping as an important part of our behind the scenes merch team!
We’re sure you’ve seen her appear in many photos in costume for our theme days (she’s always got an amazing one-such a great imagination!)
& she loves “opening” us up for the season by flipping our sign!
She is so loved by our team and we are sending ALL OUR HUGS and love to her (& her family).
Please keep this family in your thoughts as they move through the next unimaginable stages.
Shea is truly our SUPER HERO!
Smiles for Shea

When Shea was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor in 2017, we knew that the aggressive radiation treatment needed to keep her alive came with the risk of serious long term side effects. Tragically, those side effects have caught up with our courageous girl over the past three to four months, and she is now approaching the final stages of her life.

We are working with the palliative care and hospice teams to make sure she is as comfortable as possible during these next few weeks. We are absolutely devastated knowing that our time with this beautiful soul is beginning to wind down. But in the midst of our grief, we realize that cancer could have easily taken Shea from us a long time ago, so we're trying our best to be mindful that the past eight and half years with her have been an irreplaceable gift. We will forever be in awe of the way Shea has faced unimaginable challenges with optimism, bravery, and empathy for others. She is still, and will always be, our superhero.
