Every tip left at The Hub goes right back into the community.

Each month, the tips collected are shared between the Volunteer Center Washington County + our nonprofit partners. With nearly 60 partner organizations, four to five nonprofits receive a portion of the monthly tips, helping them continue the important work they do right here in Washington County.

In May, each of the organizations pictured received $436.75 from the tip jar (presented in June). Here's how they plan to put those funds to work:

The Love > hate Project: Purchasing textbooks for incarcerated individuals to keep, helping promote forgiveness.

United Way Of Washington County: Supporting their mental health initiative.

Washington County Foster Closet: Purchasing items for foster children, including car seats, toiletries, diapers, and more.

ADRC of Washington County, Wisconsin: Supporting their home delivery program.

The Gardens of Hartford: Purchasing patio furniture for their senior residents.

Cheers to our volunteers!

This June, we had the privilege of celebrating seven volunteer milestones.

🎉 Dee reached 750 hours and volunteers for the people and the community. As a bonus, she's always wanted to be a barista, making this the perfect fit.

🎉 Gail reached 250 hours and enjoys meeting new people and hearing their stories.

🎉 Patti reached 200 hours because she appreciates the people, the environment, and having plenty of people to share her baking with.

🎉 Wendy reached 100 hours—and she doesn't even drink coffee! She loves the people and that every day is different.

🎉 Jan reached 100 hours and believes sharing your time and talents is one of the best ways to care for your community.

🎉 Amy reached 100 hours and is thankful for the opportunity to continue serving the community that has blessed her over the years.

🎉 Daniella reached 50 hours and keeps coming back for the connections she's making while spending her free time at The Hub.

Every hour makes a difference, and we're so grateful to have each one of you as part of our community. Thank you for all you do!

Sneak peek! 😋

This beauty is a Dark Chocolate Ganache Tart featuring a rich, silky dark chocolate ganache nestled in a buttery tart shell and finished with a drizzle of luscious caramel and sea salt.

And that's just the beginning. Guests at Sip & Savor: An Evening of Wine & Dessert Pairing on July 16 at The Hub will also enjoy:

Honey Ricotta Crostini with Peach: creamy whipped ricotta sweetened with honey, finished with a warm, slow-simmered peach compote on crisp crostini

White Chocolate Raspberry Mousse: a light and velvety mousse with the perfect balance of sweet white chocolate and tart raspberry

Brown Butter Pear Tart: a sweet tart shell filled with a rich, nutty brown butter filling and topped with tender, sweet pears

Hop On, Hubbies!

A full circle moment yesterday as some of our very own Hubbies took part in a Do Good Bus ride—stepping into one of our other programs while supporting our nonprofit partner, Blue Lotus Center.

Together, this group beautified nine garden areas by pulling weeds, composting, planting, deadheading, and watering flowers.

While The Hub + Volunteer Center Washington County team is always connected, it was especially meaningful to see this crew experience the Do Good Bus firsthand. Thank you, Hubbies, for all your hard work not only yesterday, but every day with us!

Today we kicked off Camp SuperHero 2026 with Leader Training Day! 🎉

It was a great day of team building activities, leadership development, and talking all things camp. Thank you to Kelly + Eli from Extension Washington County, Wisconsin for partnering with us!

Thank you to TMJ4 News for spending the morning with us at The Hub and helping share the story of community connection.

There is great value in bringing people together, and this morning was an example of that. Nonprofit partners, local businesses, volunteers, and community members came together to share perspectives and ideas through conversation.

With Camp SuperHero right around the corner, we are putting out a final call for campers (those entering grades 5-8)! We have only 1 spot remaining in Week 1 (July 6-10) and 3 spots in Week 2 (July 20-24).

Camp SuperHero gives youth the opportunity to learn about local nonprofits, complete hands-on volunteer projects, and discover the impact they can make in our community.
