Yesterday we became aware of social media posts made on a personal account of a member of our ownership family. Those posts do not reflect the values of The Tavern and do not represent the views of the other owners, our employees, or our business.

While the individual is a member of our family, they are not involved in the management, operations, or day-to-day decision-making of the restaurant.

Anyone who truly knows The Tavern knows that our doors have always been open to everyone. Over the decades, we have welcomed generations of families, friends, employees, and customers from all walks of life, and we are proud of that legacy.

We want to be clear that we do not support messages that make members of our community feel unwelcome, excluded, or judged.

We believe that every person deserves to be treated with dignity, kindness, and respect. That belief has guided us for 93 years and will continue to guide us moving forward.
