It’s with a bittersweet heart that we announce the permanent closing of Thai on the Fly, effective immediately.
For the past eight years, serving this community has been an incredible journey. You have been more than just customers; you've become friends and family. We’ve shared countless meals, celebrations, and moments that mean the world to us. Thank you for making Thai on the Fly a cherished place in your lives. Each and every one of you has touched our lives, and we are deeply grateful.
This decision was not an easy one. With the current economic challenges, the difficulty of finding dedicated staff, and the sheer exhaustion of running a business, it’s time for us to step back and recharge. For over a year now, Niddy has been doing the work of three people, while I’ve been going directly from my day job to the restaurant every night. While Thai on the Fly has been our labor of love, we have to take a break for our own health and well-being, with hopes of revisiting our new path (whatever that may be) in a year or so.
We’ve sold the space (but not the name or recipes) to another company, and they will be opening their own Thai restaurant soon. We wish them every success and hope you’ll give them the same warm welcome you gave us. Though this is a hard farewell, we feel confident that the new owners will carry on the spirit of good food and community.
We apologize for the last-minute notice, but we couldn’t share any details until the contract was finalized. Thank you, truly, from the bottom of our hearts for your support, friendship, and understanding. Serving this community has been an honor, and we know we’ll see each other again soon.
With all our love and gratitude,
The Thai on the Fly Family,
Chris and Niddy
