This is our 44th year setting up at the fair, and we look forward to seeing each and everyone of you. We hope everyone has had a great year, and that the fair will be a great community celebration for everyone to come together. We apologize for not being with you from the start of the fair we would have loved too, but it was not our decision to make. We wanted to take this time to explain a few things we are doing to make sure you have a wonderful experience when you come to visit us, as well as what we are doing for the community. 1.) Are expenses for our supplies have gone up as much as 50% over the last two years. We are doing are best to keep our prices as low as possible, and have not increased our funnel cake prices this year. We are continuing to purchase the highest quality ingredients which are almost always the most expensive. We have always made a decision to not sacrifice quality for profit, and we will continue to do so this year. 2.) Additionally if you like and follow us on our page we will give you $2 off your first funnel cake. 3.) We are trying to have enough staff to keep your wait time to a minimum. Even during the busiest hours usually during the weekend for an hour or two we are trying to keep wait times to 10 minutes or less during that specific time. Its not always possible but that is our goal, and we will do our best to achieve that. 4.) We are a family business from Wichita, Ks., with extended family in Emporia. So when we need to hire we try to hire locally. A big thanks to Erin from Emporia who will be helping us all 5 days this year. 5.) It is necessary for us to put in our order at the beginning of the year for our supplies. Because we did not anticipate only having 5 days this year instead of the normal 10 days we will have a lot of supplies left over this year. So we would like to setup in Emporia for 1 to 2 weekends outside the fair maybe after September, and donate a portion of sales to a local charity or organization. So if anyone has any ideas who we can donate the portion of sales too or a location please let us know. As always it is our goal to give you the best experience we possibly can when you decide to give us your business. If we ever fail in doing so please let us know so we can make it right.
