Well…
This post saddens me deeply. Pig In! Pig Out! BBQ has been my livelihood and passion for the past 29 years. Unfortunately, all things come to an end, and the time has come to close this chapter. Our last day of service will be Saturday, August 2nd.

I want to personally thank all of our supporters over the years for the incredible memories. The friendships and connections built over the last three decades are truly invaluable. For me, there was no better feeling than serving food people loved.

But this isn’t the end of the story—only the end of what Pig In! Pig Out! is right now. Hopefully in the not too distant future the next iteration of PIPO will arise …. A reimagined version of Pig In! Pig Out! BBQ.

Creating joy through food is what I love—but for now, I need a reset. In the meantime, I’m focusing on improving my health and figuring out what’s next.

Smoked and grilled pork burgers today! Only $7 for a half pound ground in house burger.

Pork burgers are back this week for our Friday burger special. Reviews were great the first week with many saying they like them as well if not better than our brisket burgers.! Like our brisket burgers we grind our pork in house and each half pound patty is seasoned with PIPO rub and smoked and then seared over charcoal. Each burger will get two slices of melted sharp cheddar cheese and topped with pickles and PIPO’s own zingy mustard sauce (or regular PIPO BBQ sauce if you wish. All this goes between a butter toasted Martin’s potato bun and for the great price of $7 or add a side and a canned soda for only $3 more!

As many may know I spent 25 days last December in the hospital due to a severe infection that had made me septic. This illness hit at the worst possible time, the peak of our holiday season.

Subsequently when I was released from the hospital I also had a wound that was 15cm deep in two directions that I’ve been healing for the last six months that also kept me from being in the restaurant. During this time I’ve done my best to run things from the sidelines but it’s just not the same as me being in the restaurant. Fortunately, after a few complications and a surgery, the wound is finally almost healed and while I’ve been spending increasingly more time at the restaurant I will then be able to actually get in and get down and dirty in the kitchen.

Considering what was dumped in the PIPO crew’s laps they all in all have done a good job keeping things going. That said there were times we admittedly missed the mark and that’s not how we like to do things. With my return I want to reiterate that quality and customer service are priority at Pig In! Pig Out! and should there ever be a problem please reach out to me personally so I may take care of you first and address our end second.

Pig In! Pig Out! has an immediate opening for a general restaurant labor position. Schedule is roughly 10-6 Tuesday through Saturday but there’s possibly some flexibility in that. If interested in knowing more message here!
